Many celebrities skipped the Oscars and headed straight to the after-parties yesterday, mainly the ones hosted by the Elton John AIDS Foundation and Vanity Fair.
Well, who can blame them? The after-parties are usually a lot more fun, don’t you agree? The same goes for the outfits, too, yes?
We spotted more gorgeous dresses at the post-Oscar celebration than at the Oscars red carpet. Feast your eyes on these dresses:
1. Lily Collins in Zuhair Murad
Lily Collins is making her mark as a style star in Hollywood. Whether she employs a stylist or not, the one thing we can certainly say about the girl is that she has been killing it on the red carpet.
Remember the dress she wore to the Costume Designer’s Guild Awards? That one was stunning. But guess what? She outdid herself at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party by wearing a purple Zuhair Murad that made our jaws drop:

2. Nina Dobrev in Naeem Khan
Nina Dobrev never disappoints on the red carpet. At the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party, the Vampire Diaries beauty wowed everyone with her patterned black-and-white number by Naeem Khan. It’s a perfect 10, would you agree?

3. Miley Cyrus in Azzaro
We always love a dress that’s prim on the front and ultra-sexy on the back. Miley’s winter white Azzaro fit the bill, and she wore it with a wild pixie cut that gave her outfit a more rocker chick vibe. Seriously hot, yes?

4. Heidi Klum in Julien Macdonald
When it comes to sexy and risque dressing, Heidi Klum is a pro. And well, what can we say? She simply looked HOT in that gold-beaded Julien Macdonald dress at the Elton John party.
Yep, she was sizzling alright. Can you say you’re a fan of her latest red carpet style?

5. Emma Roberts in Oscar de la Renta
Feminine and sweet – how can you not love Emma Roberts in her beaded Oscar de la Renta gown? The young starlet simply nailed the look to a T. Hair, make-up, jewelry, accessories – everything was spot-on:

6. Britney Spears in Michael Cinco
Dolls, Britney is back! First of all, we love the new brunette tresses. She (seriously) has never looked better.
Second, we love how she chose a more sophisticated and classy look this time by going for a black sequined Michael Cinco creation with a see-through detail on the back. Super fabulous, right?!

7. Miranda Kerr in Valentino
Miranda Kerr used her magic model powers to make the Valentino dress she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party look extra wonderful.
Seriously, the number wasn’t exactly what you’d call flattering, but she managed to pull it off with flair. Hats off to Miranda!

8. Anna Paquin in Alexander McQueen
How do you like Anna Paquin’s vampy look at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Party? Anna wore an effortless creation from Alexander McQueen but somehow brought it to life with dark makeup and a whole lot of personality.

And just in case you feel like channeling, say, Nina Dobrev in her patterned Naeem Khan dress, you can do so fabulously with these frocks from David Meister and Zac Posen:

No doubt, glittery gold, subtle champagne, and punches of black ruled the post-awards celebration, but a good few did veer away from the norm by wearing a color or two. Who do you think had the best after-party look of the night?
9. Kate Bosworth in Giambattista Valli
Ever the style star, Kate Bosworth did not disappoint when she attended the Vanity Fair Oscar After-Party. The beauty donned an exquisite creation by Giambattista Valli that was simply dreamy.
A gold Rauwolf clutch, Casadei sandals, and a braided updo finished her look and kept it on point:

10. Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein
If Jennifer’s Dior gown on the Oscars red carpet blew you away, her glittery gold Calvin Klein number at the party will most likely make you swoon.
We cannot find the perfect words to describe how good she looked in the dress because she rendered us speechless! Seriously, WOW is all we can say:

11. Selena Gomez in Versace
Selena Gomez sure sizzled in her Versace gown at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party. The former Disney darling looked all grown-up and sexy in the corset-detailed number; we can hardly find any fault in the whole get-up. Can you?

12. Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta
Amy Adams continued the drama with another Oscar de la Renta gown at the after-party. But instead of layers and layers of tulle, the red-haired beauty switched to a glimmery gold piece that made her skin glow:

13. Naomi Watts in Emilio Pucci
Another celebrity who outdid herself at the party was Naomi Watts.
She sizzled in the asymmetric Armani Privè gown on the Oscars red carpet, but her black-gold sequined Pucci dress to the post-awards celebration was nothing short of showstopping!

14. Diane Kruger in Giambattista Valli
Diane Kruger is one of the few ladies who can get away with wearing even the most unflattering silhouettes.
The German actress wore a black-and-white Giambattista Valli dress that was poufy and printed. But get this: Diane wore it like a style star and looked fabulous!

15. Elizabeth Banks in Alexander McQueen
Elizabeth Banks was one of the few ladies who opted to wear color the other night.
The actress chose a tangerine-hued strapless dress by Alexander McQueen with an insanely flattering silhouette. She styled it with a printed belt and an updo for polish:

16. Alessandra Ambrosio in Zuhair Murad
Another Zuhair Murad muse at the event was Alessandra Ambrosio. The supermodel chose an elaborate piece from the designer’s collection that featured gold embroidery and sheer insets.

The dress was seriously divine, and putting Alessandra in it just made it all the more amazing:

17. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Valentino
Last but not least, one of our standout looks at the event was Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
The supermodel opted for a frou-frou ruffled Valentino in pale lavender. Layers and layers of ruffles can be overwhelming, but Rosie managed to wear it like a pro and came out stunning:

Before we end this post, let us leave you with a few more exquisite designer dresses with which you can fall in love:
