Chloe Sevigny stands at an impressive height of 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cm), notably taller than an American woman’s average height. Like many celebrities, she will claim to be even taller in interviews.

She is 12.8 cm (approximately 5.04 inches) shorter than Luca Guadagnino, whose height is about 183 cm (6 feet).

During the During the “Bones and All” red carpet event at the 60th New York Film Festival in October 2022, Luca Guadagnino, with a height of approximately 6 feet (1.83 meters), and Chloe Sevigny, standing at 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cm), were in attendance at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City (Credit: Lev Radin / Shutterstock)

Design Challenges: Adapting to Different Body Types

In an interview with Elle, Sevigny noted the challenge in designing for waitresses around 5’2″, significantly shorter than the models she usually works with. This height difference greatly affected how she approached the uniform design.

That’s tricky. With my Opening Ceremony collection, I design [the looks] to my body. I’m the fit model, and everything I’m designing has to be something I want to wear. Plus, I’m trying every piece on myself, and I’m 5’8″, which isn’t very tall in fashion world. With models, tall people are really tall. But these waitresses are 5’2″. I’m like, ‘Holy shit, these girls are miniature!’

“It’s like you always have to put on a happy face, be the phony baloney, and I’m so not that. I never was that; I’ll never be that. That is part of the business that I don’t like. Maybe that will always keep me an outsider, I don’t know. But that’s fine.” – Chloe Sevigny

I had a full wall that was all collage – the entire wall – when I was in junior high. And then it would kind of morph with me as I was growing.” – Chloe Sevigny

“The other day I got a text from a boy, but it wasn’t hot. I mean, if you’re going to text me every day, you haven’t seen me for months and you’re trying to seduce me, you’d better spice up that text and make it more exciting than ‘How was your day? Chloe Sevigny Stuns in Paisley at HBO’s ‘Big Love’ Party: A Fashion Statement!

In January 2011, Chloe Sevigny was at HBO’s “Big Love” Season 5 Party. Miss Chloe has always been the fashion non-conformist, so this full-on paisley printed, peekaboo cutout, halter, and tulip skirt dress she wore to the event was very much expected of her:

Chloe Sevigny’s eccentric side showed in what she paired with her modern Rodarte Spring 2011 dress: an odd combination of an old-fashioned finger wave hairdo, a quirky Lucifer Vir Honestus gold and diamond frog ring, and an ornate Judith Leiber gold clutch.

Still, somehow, those seemingly unrelated pieces look together on Chloe Sevigny, and she rounded things up by matching her red lips to her red-strapped Christian Louboutin Salsbourg sandals:

Christian Louboutin has always been celebrities’ go-to designer for red carpet events, but trust Chloe Sevigny to pick out one of the most standout shoe designs from Christian Louboutin. Nevermind that the red color doesn’t go with anything and the leopard print heel absolutely clashes with everything, Chloe Sevigny WILL wear these sandals and rock the hell out of ’em.

I’ve always been a fan of Chloe Sevigny’s individual style (even if I can’t pull off half of the things she wears), so this outfit is a YAY for me.

What about you, would you categorize Chloe Sevigny’s look at HBO’s “Big Love” Season 5 Party a YAY or a NAY?
