It has always been Sam Esmail who cheered from the sidelines as his fiancée Emmy Rossum took 2015 by storm, but now the tables have turned as Emmy’s writer, producer, and director boyfriend was nominated at the Gotham Independent Film Awards for best breakthrough series.

Emmy’s presence at the event was not for naught, as Sam bagged the award for his work on “Mr. Robot”.
