Eva Longoria showed support for her friend and fellow Latina Salma Hayek at the screening of Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet held at Bing Theatre in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Wednesday last week.
A few days prior to the premiere, Eva was criticized by a journalist named Jenna Clarke in an article for The Sydney Morning Herald for endorsing an eyewear brand when she does not wear spectacles herself. She took to Twitter to slam the said Aussie writer, saying in an “open letter” that she’s “been wearing reading glasses since May 3, 2013.”

Looking fab at 40, the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star highlighted her enviably toned physique in a figure-hugging blue dress with a black sheer and white striped detail that’s strategically placed to accentuate her waist.

She styled the sexy frock with a few pieces of jewelry, including a diamond and sapphire pendant necklace, a pair of stud earrings, and two gold bracelets, and gave her outfit a playful pop of color with orange nail polish.

To up the ante, she pulled her dark locks up into an elegant top knot and wore gorgeous makeup with pink lips and smoky eyes with heavy lashings of mascara.

Eva kept the rest of her accessories simple in black, including a clutch, a coat, and a pair of Casadei’s classic “Blade” pumps.
They are made of suede and feature pointed toes and 4.7-inch blade stiletto heels. You can buy them at Farfetch and Casadei.
