Some of the biggest names in the industry gathered together at London’s Royal Albert Hall on December 1, 2025, to celebrate fashion at the Fashion Awards 2025, also known as the British Fashion Awards until 2016.

International individuals and labels who made outstanding contributions to the fashion industry during the year were all there, from Jonathan Anderson, who won Designer of the Year for the third consecutive year, to Sarah Burton of Givenchy, who won British Womenswear Designer of the Year, and Grace Wales Bonner of Wales Bonner, who won the menswear counterpart.

Other awardees include Dilara Findikoglu (Vanguard Award); Anok Yai (Model of the Year); Brunello Cucinelli (Outstanding Achievement Award); and Chanel (Special Recognition Award for 100 Years in the UK).

Aside from the awardees, celebs like Rita Ora, Emily Ratajkowski, FKA Twigs, Rooney Mara, Sienna Miller, Kylie Minogue, Ellie Goulding, Lily Allen, Jodie Comer, and more graced the red carpet to join the celebration. They, of course, all brought their fashion prowess. But aside from their striking dresses and gowns, their heels also stood out!

Let’s take a look at the shoes that shone at this year’s Fashion Awards red carpet.

FKA Twigs Channels Medieval Fantasy in Balenciaga Wooden Platform Mary Janes

When FKA Twigs stepped onto the carpet, it felt like watching a character walk out of a medieval fantasy film. It was ethereal, worn-in, and almost ancient!

The shoes were the first detail that caught my eye. She wore towering platform Balenciaga Mary Jane wedges that seemed crafted from chocolate brown leather. The slim buckled strap across the vamp paid homage to classic Mary Jane footwear, while the exaggerated, polished wood-accented platforms—around 2.5 to 3 inches thick, with heels about 6 inches—added a surreal, sculptural lift that gave FKA Twigs’ 5’3” height a much-needed boost.

Worn underneath sheer stockings, they made the entire ensemble even more unexpected and slightly quirky, which I personally loved.

Paolo Carzana’s Raw, Medieval-Inspired Dress Amplifies Her Sculptural Footwear

FKA Twigs paired the towering footwear with an outfit by Paolo Carzana, a London-based Welsh designer known for crafting poetic, emotional designs using organic, plant-based, and repurposed materials—making his work an ideal match for her expressive, artistic sensibility.

Up close, the fabric looked gauzy and delicate like parchment, dyed in earthy tones using natural pigments like bark and chestnut. The raw seams, ruffled edges, and square neckline gave the dress a beautifully undone silhouette.

Enhancing the post-apocalyptic fantasy, FKA Twigs carried a sculptural, twisted accessory resembling bark or coiled roots, created by British designer Nasir Mazhar. Sparkling jewelry pieces from Pandora added just a hint of contemporary shine, while her hair and makeup stayed true to the medieval theme. She wore her hair in braids, used little makeup to highlight her features, and applied a soft berry color to her lips using real berries that she had crushed herself.

Lily Allen Glows in Valentino “Yolande” Bow Mules and a Regency-Gold Gown

Lily Allen embraced a complete Regency-inspired fantasy in a gold look that was hard to ignore. But the first thing that caught my attention was her footwear—a pair of bright pink satin mules peeking out from under the gold hem.

She wore the Valentino “Yolande” shoes, featuring a pointed toe that made them look sleek and clean. The real standout, though, was the oversized bow on top. It resembled a folded ribbon, large enough to make a statement yet still neat and structured. The short corset-style lacing across the front added a nice extra detail, giving the shoes a tiny nod to historical costume but reimagined in a modern, playful way.

The satin material had a soft sheen, and the heels were high enough for the dress to fall smoothly to the floor. The color was bold, bright pink, and complemented Lily’s gold dress. That contrast kept the outfit from looking too serious or costumey, and it added a fresh, unexpected pop of color to the whole look. You can get these pumps for $1,250 at Farfetch.

A Dramatic Gold Satin Gown With Lace Details and Sculptural Draping

Lily teamed her pink shoes with a sweeping gold satin gown that instantly evoked that vintage, Bridgerton-esque grandeur. It had intricate lace at the décolletage, adding a delicate contrast to the smooth satin. It also featured softly draped, puffed shoulders and long, fitted sleeves, giving it a vintage, regal aura.

The fabric gathered at the waist, creating a sculptural drape before melting into a long, fluid skirt. And just as I thought the drama had peaked, there was a second train cascading from the back, giving the whole ensemble a dramatic flair.

Allen paired the dress with a textured gold Valentino Garavani “De Vain” clutch. Part of me wishes she had gone for a pink bag to echo the shoes, since the gold-on-gold blend made the clutch disappear into the gown a bit.

Her jewelry, though, which included dangling gemstone earrings and a choker from Moussaieff, added the right amount of shine, enhancing the Regency-inspired mood.

Rooney Mara Goes Minimalist in Givenchy “Sliced Square” Ballet Flats and a Pink Mini Dress

I was struck by how clean and modern Rooney Mara looked the moment she stepped on the blue carpet. And while her dress was lovely, my attention actually went straight to the shoes.

They were simple black ballet flats, but done in a way that felt modern rather than overly sweet. She wore the $820 Givenchy “Sliced Square” ballerinas, which had a sleek, squared-off silhouette that made them look sharper than the usual ballet shoes.

Made in Italy from smooth satin, they had a clean, polished finish and a wide elastic strap across the top that added a practical touch—water-repellent, easy to clean, and still chic enough for the red carpet. They’re the kind of flats you could wear with jeans on a regular day, but here, Rooney proved they can also hold their own in a more formal event.

Clean Lines, Architectural Seams, and a Cape Back Create Modern Structure

Her $4,950 Givenchy dress was made of soft, pale pink duchesse satin. It had a slightly twee feel, but the sleek, modern lines kept it chic and balanced. The fitted bodice gave it structure before gently flaring out at the hips. I liked the square neckline because it kept everything streamlined, and the thin spaghetti straps kept the silhouette clean and simple.

The seam work on the bodice added a subtle architectural touch, making the dress look more refined up close. I loved the addition of pockets, adding practicality, but the detail that stood out to me the most was the cape back. It added an unexpected shape and a bit of volume, though it looked slightly stiff at certain angles. Still, it made the dress feel more modern!

To finish the look, Rooney pulled her hair into a neat high bun, enhancing the ballerina feel, and she skipped jewelry entirely, keeping the focus on the clean lines. A dark pink lip and soft blush tied everything together.

Sienna Miller Radiates Maternity Elegance in Fuzzy Givenchy Mules and a Sheer White Net Gown

Sienna Miller revealed her pregnancy on the Fashion Awards blue carpet, and her growing baby bump didn’t stop her from slipping into a pair of striking mules. If anything, they made her entrance even better. They were eye-catching, thanks to their playful, bold, yet glamorous design.

These fuzzy blush mules from the Givenchy Spring 2026 collection featured soft, fringed fibers that covered the vamps and open toes, nearly hiding Sienna’s entire feet. Despite sitting on rather high heels, their backless design somehow kept them comfy. I couldn’t help but admire Sienna’s confidence to wear something this bold and tall, especially during pregnancy. Honestly, I was impressed she balanced so effortlessly.

A Dreamy Diamond-Net Maternity Gown With Soft Cutouts and Empire Silhouette

The mules paired surprisingly well with her sheer white gown, made from a loose diamond-net fabric that reminded me of a delicate veil. It was daring, with see-through bra cups and a cutaway at the plunging neckline, but it didn’t look cheap or overly flashy. The thin spaghetti straps kept the look light, while the empire-cut silhouette let the fabric fall softly over her baby bump.

Miller skipped a necklace and opted for statement pearl chandelier earrings, which added just enough polish to the dress’s texture. The entire look felt dreamy, relaxed, and a little rebellious.

Jodie Comer Stuns in Givenchy “Boudoir” Bow Mules and a Sculpted Black Leather Dress

There was something effortlessly commanding about Jodie Comer’s all-black look. It was sleek and sculptural, yet quietly dramatic, and her shoes and dress were a perfect match!

Comer wore the $1,390 black leather “Boudoir” mules by Givenchy, featuring a bold knotted bow at the top that gave the ultra-sleek silhouette a playful twist. Paired with a square toe and a slim metal heel, the bow was clearly the shoe’s focal point; it was bold and feminine without losing its edge.

A Sleek Leather Gown With a Plunging Neckline and Fluid Wrap Skirt

Jodie’s $9,950 dress continued that same sleek, modern energy. Crafted from glossy black leather, it hugged her perfectly, highlighting her slender figure. The plunging V-neckline added a daring touch while the wrap-style waist created a soft, folded drape that fell into a long skirt. It also had a front slit that revealed just enough of her leg to keep the silhouette fluid.

She kept the styling minimal, skipping elaborate jewels except for a pair of $820 Givenchy sculptural crystal earrings in silvery finish metal with white crystals.

Jodie Comer wore her hair in tousled waves to enhance the sultry mood of her all-black look. She paired it with subtle smoky eyes, peachy tones on her cheeks and lips, and black nails that echoed the sleekness of her outfit.

Rita Ora Makes a Bold Entrance in Aqua Blue Tom Ford Pumps and a Plunging Gray Maxi

Rita Ora commanded attention the moment she stepped onto the carpet. She wore a bold yet refined look, pairing a daring dress with unexpectedly sweet shoes. I loved the contrast!

Ora wore a pair of $1,350 robin-egg-blue Tom Ford pumps that instantly drew my eye. The color alone was enough to stand out against the muted tone of her dress! The pointed toes were sharp, the slim ankle strap fastened with a rectangular buckle, and the stiletto heels were extra thin, enhancing the ensemble’s sultry appeal.

Minimal Accessories and a Slick Bun Let Her Blue Pumps Take Center Stage

To balance the softness of the shoes, Ora wore a daring yet polished gray maxi dress. The fine-knit fabric hugged her body beautifully, and the plunging neckline dipped dramatically past her navel, creating a sculptural line down the center, making the dress look even more daring. The curved front slit was just as bold, opening the skirt and showing her legs, adding another striking, skin-baring detail. The long sleeves balanced all that drama!

Rita skipped jewelry, letting the dress and shoes do all the talking. With her hair slicked back into a tight bun and icy, shimmering eye makeup, the whole look felt sleek, fearless, and beautifully curated.

Ellie Goulding Serves Futuristic Maternity Style in Paris Texas Pumps and Satin Coat

Ellie Goulding looked like she had just walked straight out of a modern Matrix reboot—but make it maternity chic. Her all-black look had this sharp, futuristic vibe, yet it still felt effortless. The pumps alone set the tone for the whole outfit.

She wore the black patent “Lidia” slingback pumps by Paris Texas, featuring a glossy, mirror-like finish. They also boasted a thin slingback strap and a high stiletto heel that instantly sharpened the silhouette. Even with her growing baby bump proudly on display, she embraced heels without hesitation, just like Sienna Miller. You can get them for $695 at Mytheresa.

Bermuda Shorts, Crop Top, and an Oversized Coat Create a Matrix-Inspired Silhouette

Balancing the sleek shoes, Ellie chose a simple black crop top that naturally showcased her bump. She paired it with the roomy black Willy Chavarria “Borracho” bermuda shorts that hit just below the knee, complete with belt loops, front pleats, and deep pockets. The relaxed shorts added a cool street-style edge, and the contrast between the tailored volume and the tiny crop top radiated a fashion-forward vibe. They’re available for $650 at Farfetch.

She layered the look under a long, oversized satin coat that swished behind her like a dramatic cloak. The shine gave the look that unmistakable Matrix energy while still feeling red-carpet ready.

Ellie finished the outfit with the $275 bold black Willy Chavarria “Bad Boy” sunglasses and a striking selection of Chopard jewelry. She wore a jeweled cross pendant layered over the crop top and diamond-shaped drop earrings, adding just enough sparkle to balance all the black.

Daphne Guinness Elevates Galactic Glamour in Crystal Heel-Less Shoes and a Gold Keyhole Gown

Daphne Guinness, who has long been one of Lady Gaga’s major fashion inspirations, arrived in a look that was very much in line with her signature style. She stepped onto the blue carpet wearing her signature heel-less shoes, and even at 58, it still surprises me how easily she manages them.

The shoes were extremely high, and she stood entirely on the front platform! While it looked painful, Daphne explained that wearing them wasn’t just about making a statement but actually “all about health and comfort.” These pumps were covered in what looked like multicolored crystals, making them stand out.

A Custom Annie’s Ibiza Gown Crafted From 1920s Egyptian Silver-Woven Fabric

Daphne’s gown was just as detailed. It was a custom piece by Annie’s Ibiza, created from 1920s Egyptian silver-woven fabric. The dress had a high neckline, structured shoulders, and long bell sleeves. An extended, vertical keyhole cutout at the center of the torso added a bold element, while additional cutout patterns continued through the skirt. Toward the bottom, the fabric became slightly sheer, giving a subtle glimpse of her legs.

Her hair was styled into a high, structured bun with contrasting black-and-blonde stripes, held in place with hairpins and a crystal ornament. Her makeup featured dramatic smoky eyes, sculpted cheeks, and a soft nude-pink lip. She also wore a metal hand plate, several sparkling rings that nearly covered her fingers, and gemstone drop earrings.

Kylie Minogue Sparkles in Gianvito Rossi “Crystelle” Sandals and JW Anderson Plissé Layers

Kylie Minogue looked fresh and youthful at the Fashion Awards, lighting up the blue carpet with her soft glow and sparkle.

She wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi “Crystelle” sandals that caught the light from every angle. The slim straps were covered in tiny crystals that shimmered with every step, crossing neatly at the front and wrapping around her ankles with a small buckle fastening. They also featured clear PVC panels along the toes and sides, making the straps appear to float. Even the silver insoles and matching stiletto heels added a bit of extra shine!

A Light JW Anderson Silk Plissé Ensemble With Petal-Like Movement

Minogue’s two-piece white ensemble by JW Anderson, this year’s Designer of the Year winner, paired perfectly with her shoes. I loved how airy it looked. The fabric was made of white silk plissé, creating textural depth and subtle movement, while the tiered, draped layers gave the dress a petal-like shape. It also had a V-neckline and delicate straps that kept the upper part simple, letting the skirt’s volume stand out.

Kylie kept everything else minimal. She wore a pearl necklace by A Sinner in Pearls that sat right at her collarbone, adding a soft, polished touch. Her blonde hair was styled in loose waves with a fringe, and her makeup remained gentle, with pink tones that complemented the overall freshness of the look.

Lila Grace Moss Embraces Soft Gothic in 16Arlington Mary Jane Pumps and Feathered Slip Dress

At the Fashion Awards, Lila Grace Moss continued to show that she’s clearly following in her mom Kate Moss’ fashion footsteps, carving out her own style while keeping that same effortless confidence.

While she’s already taller than the average American woman, Lila chose to boost her 5’6” height further with a pair of 16Arlington pumps from the Spring 2026 collection. They were simple but refined, and I liked that she went with a Mary Jane style rather than a basic pointed pump. The slim strap, pointed toes, and tapered heels added a soft, feminine edge to the darker theme of her outfit.

Minimal Jewelry and Soft Waves Keep the Focus on the Dress’s Gothic Details

Her dress, also from 16Arlington’s Spring 2026 collection, blended soft textures with gothic details. It was a sheer slip dress with scalloped lace along the neckline and hem. Underneath was a white slip with matching lace trim, but what really stood out was the dramatic cluster of black feathers along the hem. The mix of soft lace and bold feathers gave the outfit more depth, and the dress fit her body, perfectly highlighting her slim, model frame.

Around her neck, Lila Grace wore a textured fringed accent. I initially thought it felt a bit extra, but it did add a theatrical touch that tied into the look’s darker mood.

With all those details, I appreciated that Lila kept the rest simple. She wore just a pair of small earrings, left her blonde hair down in soft waves, and highlighted her innate beauty with minimal soft pink makeup.

Alexa Chung Masters Sculptural Chic in Croc-Embossed Christen Pumps and a Yellow Chloé Dress

I’m used to seeing Alexa Chung in her signature effortless boho-meets-Brit-girl style, so this dramatic, sculptural moment was a refreshing shift yet still undeniably her.

On her feet, Alexa slipped into a pair of ivory-beige Christen “Helix” pumps made of printed patent calf leather with a croc finish. While the shoes were simple in silhouette, the textured croc pattern instantly elevated them, giving the whole look a touch of quiet luxury.

The elongated vamps and pointed toes sharpened the look, while the wet-look lacquered, subtly flared heels added a chic, unexpected touch!

Architectural Lines and Ruffled Movement Define Her Spring 2026 Look

Chung paired the shoes with a pale-yellow dress from Chloé’s Spring 2026 collection, and I have to admit, I was fascinated by the construction. It had an architectural look thanks to the trench-style fabric, while the funnel neck, roomy sleeves with epaulettes, and exaggerated cuffs added this quiet theatricality.

The drop waist, cinched with elastic below the hip, created a soft, ruffled skirt that fell to the knee, giving the look a sense of movement that contrasted with its structured top.

Staying true to her bohemian style, Alexa stacked bangles on one wrist, added delicate dangling earrings, and styled her hair in side-swept, wet-look waves. She finished her glam with a bronzed glow and minimal makeup for a radiant look.
