Taylor Swift looked gorgeous in a regal Oscar de la Renta gown ($17,990 at Oscar de la Renta) while making her entrance on the red carpet at the premiere of Cats on Monday night at Lincoln Center in New York City.

In addition to acting in the musical fantasy comedy-drama film based on the stage musical of the same name by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Taylor co-wrote the new song “Beautiful Ghosts” for the soundtrack.
In the movie, she plays the role of Bombalurina, a flirtatious, confident female and mischievous cat with a distinct red coat.

The song, which is performed in the film by the principal character Victoria, portrayed by Francesca Hayward, was nominated for a Golden Globe. However, the Academy recently revealed that it will not be receiving an Oscar nomination.

The 30-year-old singer/actress styled her floral ballgown with Chloe Gosselin’s Narcissus shoes, Maxior drop earrings, and rings by Borgioni and Beladora.

Pronounced FILL-COO-PAY, fil coupé means “cut threads” in French. According to Greenhouse Fabrics, this “weaving technique produces a delicate, yet tactile fringe effect on the surface of the fabric”.
