We’ve been watching Gigi Hadid for a really long time. She first caught our eyes when she was relatively unknown, and has kept us transfixed every day since. It’s been two years since Gigi broke out onto the runway, and we can’t believe how much she’s accomplished since then.
The culmination of the past two years reached another high as Gigi was awarded the “International Model of the Year” award at The British Fashion Council’s 2016 Fashion Awards in London.

Gigi wore a gorgeous dress-top-and-pants combination by the genius Donatella Versace. The top features a draped pattern that gave the illusion of a piece of cloth wrapping itself around Gigi. Versace finished the combination with a pair of cigarette pants in the same fabric.
The model finished her look with a pair of DSquared2 “RiRi” sandals in silver that you can buy at Zappos, Farfetch and Luisaviaroma.

Gigi became emotional as Donatella Versace herself presented her with the “International Model of the Year” award. The 21-year-old didn’t forget to thank her fans, as well as the people who stuck it out when nobody else believed in her.
The model also posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the fashion industry’s warm welcome, as well as her excitement for what the future may hold.
