Holliday Grainger, who plays Bonnie in the revisionist 2013 miniseries Bonnie & Clyde, arrived at the New York premiere party for the miniseries in a simple and understated all-black look.

Airing simultaneously on A&E, History, and Lifetime, the series about Great Depression-era outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow was widely criticized for its historical inaccuracies.

“Hirsch and Granger are lovely too, although Granger’s accent is distractingly out of control. But neither of them offer any insight into what drove the couple, what they actually hoped to achieve, and what kept them going when it became clear that things were not going to end well,” Los Angeles Times wrote about the performances of Emile Hirsch as Clyde Barrow and Holliday Grainger as Bonnie Parker.

Amanda Seyfried and Hilary Duff were reportedly also considered for the role of Bonnie Parker. For the premiere of the miniseries, Holliday Grainger wore a long black dress and paired the frock with a dainty necklace and some classic black pumps.

Born on March 27, 1988, in Didsbury, Manchester, United Kingdom, she turned 25 on March 27, 2013.

If you’re thinking of rocking the same elegant all-black look for one of the holiday soirees you’ll be attending this season, just grab the simple but sexy black “Techno” dress from Robert Rodriguez.

However, our advice? Pair your all-black look with a more interesting pair of shoes than the ones Holliday opted for. Our pick is the “Tara” t-straps from Alejandro Ingelmo that we found at Shopbop.
