Isa Tapia, one of ten CFDA 2014-2016 Fashion Incubator Program designers, started making shoes after an apprenticeship with Oscar de la Renta during her senior year at Parsons School of Design.
During this time, she fell in love with making shoes. Before she launched her namesake label in Spring 2012, Isa worked with various companies, designing handbags and accessories. Isa is focused on making shoes, inspired by her fast-paced life and the women around her.

The New York-based shoe designer stepped out in a rather unflattering black dress with a cinched waist, long sleeves, and an ankle-length hem.
Isa styled the dramatic ensemble with two choker necklaces — a statement silver choker and a long fabric choker. She further accessorized with several bangles and statement rings and carried a black embellished purse.

Isa stepped out in a pair of shoes from her eponymous shoe line. She picked the “Deia” slingback booties, which featured multicolored oriental-inspired embroidery.
The shoes also have lace-up fastenings with pompom ends, pointed toes, and about 4.7-inch stiletto heels.
