Ariana Grande was supported by her divorced parents, Joan Grande and Edward Butera, at the 2020 Grammy Awards on Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Born on June 11, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York City, Joan refers to herself as an Italian American of “half Sicilian and half Abruzzese” descent. Before meeting Ariana’s father, Edward Butera, she had a son named Frank James Michael Grande Marchione with Victor Louis Marchione, an Italian-American physician.

The CEO of Hose-McCann Communications, a provider of total communications solutions for use on land and at sea, Joan married Edward Butera in 1992 in Manhattan. They moved to Florida in 1993 when Joan was still pregnant with Ariana.
An American graphic designer, photographer, and artist, Edward Butera separated from Joan Grande in 2002 when Ariana was 8. He is also of Italian descent.

Nominated for five awards and scheduled to perform at the Grammys, Ariana stunned in an oversized Giambattista Valli Haute Couture two-tone grey dress featuring layers of tulle and ruffles. Her gown reportedly reaches 20 feet in diameter!
Styled by Law Roach, the 26-year-old singer accessorized with opera-length gloves, custom Christian Louboutin heels with non-slip soles, and her iconic ponytail dyed in a light shade of blonde.
Ariana was up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Thank U, Next, Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “7 Rings,” and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Boyfriend” with Social House.
