Usually, an excellent monochromatic black-and-white look exudes class and timelessness. However, that’s not quite the vibe we got from Joey King as she attended the New York premiere of her 2017 American comedy film Going in Style.

In March 2017, the then-17-year-old actress stepped out in a sheer black organza shirt dress with a contrasting white overlay from 16Arlington.
The piece featured long sleeves, a peplum detail, a black mini skirt, and a center front slit. Joey kept the color theme going down to her toes, opting to cap off her look with a simple pair of black suede pumps.

We wish we could share more about her footwear, but her uninspired shoe choice blends right into the carpet. A bold pair of sandals might have been a better pick, but we’re happy to give her a pass. After all, these events typically have a red carpet, so perhaps she simply didn’t expect this change in tradition.
She swept her hair up in a high bun that showed off her gorgeous face before finishing her look with statement earrings, winged eyeliner, and pink lips.

“Going in Style” is the latest film project by Zach Braff, who previously directed Joey in “Wish I Was Here.” The actor and director also attended the premiere, looking dapper in a classic suit and brown leather shoes.
Not only are these two friendly on the black carpet, but they appear to be on good terms in real life as well. Joey recently posted an Instagram photo of the two on the set of “Wish I Was Here.” She captioned it with a birthday greeting and a sweet message about being honored to be his “muse” and friend.

Joey also cozied up to co-star and acting legend Michael Caine on the black carpet. She posted a snap of them on Instagram, thanking him for his kindness. Michael looked sharp in his navy suit sans tie at the film premiere.
The young actress even posed with internet sensation Baddie Winkle. Helen Ruth Elam Van Winkle is known for her bold sartorial choices, which she shares on Instagram.
The 88-year-old style icon appeared in a multicolored jumpsuit paired with silver boots. She completed her ensemble with statement earrings and a bejeweled cane.

To elevate Joey King’s monochromatic look, a bolder footwear choice could have taken her outfit from chic to standout. What do you think of Joey King’s look?
