Kate Hudson’s luscious curls in “Almost Famous” were just about as famous as the movie title itself. However, she recently decided to take a complete 180, going as opposite of golden curls as you can get.
The Fabletics founder recently stepped out in three different outfits — all pulled together with her fresh, dark pixie cut. We think it’s safe to say that Kate is rocking this look.

The actress was first spotted out at the Michael Kors x God’s Love We Deliver “Golden Heart Awards” in New York, wearing a beaded asymmetrical dress by the label in a bright crimson shade.
Kate accessorized with a deeper red Jimmy Choo “Candy” clutch that was contrasted with gold and diamonds on her fingers. While the finger bling was gorgeous, we were disappointed she kept her ears bare… especially given all the attention on her face thanks to her freshly shorn locks.
With a sexy pixie cut and a great red dress, Kate dulled the momentum by slipping her feet into a pair of Christian Louboutin “So Kate” pumps. In nude patent, at that. Yawn. We think she definitely could have done more here.

Beautiful as she is, Kate doesn’t exactly have an extensive record of style wins. We’re actually pretty happy that she finally outgrew her Brian Atwood phase.
Things took an interesting twist as we spotted Kate at the frivolous Veuve Clicquot annual polo event, where she wore the Johanna Ortiz “Toluca” linen top with the “Tequila” wide-legged pants. We love the contrast of the sweet outfit against her spunky hairstyle.

As much as we adore Kate’s Rebecca de Ravenel “Flora” earrings, we’re torn. While it does give off a style rule-breaking vibe, we can’t help but feel it took away from Kate’s gorgeous top.
Kate added an earthy feel to her look with the Clare V. Petite “Alice” bag.

As we spotted Kate attending her book signing for “Pretty Fun,” it’s evident that she is still enjoying the wide-legged pants look.
The actress turned to her favorite David Koma London for a pair of leather and stretch cady pants, which featured leather front panels and back stretch cady panels that allowed for better movement.
Kate paired her flares with a high-low sweater and a classic pair of gold hoop earrings.

Overall, we think Kate rocked the pixie cut, but she can definitely play with more looks. With hair as spunky as hers, we wouldn’t hold back on the eyeliner and metallics either. Also, we would love to see some over-the-top earrings.
