The 34-year-old reality star was joined by her husband, Kanye West, at the annual fundraising gala in New York City, which benefitted the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

Her backless sheer white gown was designed by Peter Dundas, a Norwegian-born fashion designer who’s the new creative director of Roberto Cavalli.

Kim Kardashian revealed the surprising inspiration behind her 2015 Met Gala gown, sharing an Instagram image of Cher at the 1974 Met Gala in a similar Bob Mackie gown. Kim captioned the post:
“Tonight’s inspiration! Cher at the 1st ever Met Gala! I just met her and told her this photo was my inspiration for my dress tonight! She is so beautiful! So happy I met her!”
