I guess this makes it official — last year’s oversized, drapey blanket cardigan is also a big trend this fall/winter season 2011. Here’s a closer look at Kristin Cavallari’s cardigan:
Kristin Cavallari showcased her style at Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood on October 19, 2011, wearing a Helmut Lang mercury draped top, Funktional Mayan draped cardigan, Z Spoke Zac Posen polished ZS920 satchel, Jimmy Choo Evans stitched platform ankle booties, and BLANKNYC spray-on skinny jeans in Heavy Dose (Credit: WENN)
Of course, it’s meant to be big, oversized, and drapey, but as you can see in the pictures above, it does tend to drown the wearer, especially if she’s as tiny as Kristin Cavallari.
This blanket cardigan might’ve been less overwhelming on Kristin if she paired it with a tighter-fitting top instead of that Helmut Lang cowl neck halter. I love how she paired it with those dark blue skinny jeans. And I especially approve of her Jimmy Choo ‘Evans’ stitched suede platform ankle boots that, unfortunately, have sold out online.
Kristin Cavallari’s cardigan is a piece from the LA clothing label Funktional that you can purchase at Shopbop.
