The cast of “Downsizing” attended a special screening of the film held at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles. For the occasion, A-list actresses Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern opted for monochromatic ensembles styled with Christian Louboutin shoes.

It’s interesting to note that despite the downsizing theme, both ladies upped the ante for their premiere looks. Kristen played with patterns and proportions, while Laura stepped completely out of her comfort zone in an all-black outfit.

After a flurry of edgy looks during the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” promotional tour, Laura made another surprising choice at the “Downsizing” screening, opting to wear a black velvet Vassilis Zoulias Fall 2017 dress with long sleeves, a belted waist and tulle detailing. The sheer lace panel on the bodice added a sultry element, exposing a La Perla bra underneath. A bow-tied collar and a visible button placket finished off this dramatic gothic dress from the Greek label. Laura styled it with side-swept waves, Fernando Jorge jewelry and a dark red lip for a pop of color.
As for her footwear, Laura chose a pair of lace-up knee-high boots from Christian Louboutin. These shoes feature a pointed-toe silhouette, contrasting metallic silver cap toes and the luxury label’s signature red leather soles.

Meanwhile, the “Bridesmaids” star sauntered down the venue in a black-and-white floor-length dress from Marc Jacobs. This Spring 2018 number featured a one-shoulder design, a draped shoulder panel, a floral print, a thigh-high slit and a short train. The exposed shoulder and slit detail toned down the bold pattern and full sleeve, while also adding sultry elements to her look.
Her cropped blonde hair showed off her Jennifer Meyer studs and statement earrings from Maxior Joias. She finished off her look with minimal makeup, AS29 rings and Christian Louboutin black ankle-strap sandals with embellished toe bands.
