Like most girls, Lea Michele loves something pretty and practical at the same time. Formal events such as red carpet appearances can get pretty crazy, so we appreciate anything that will help us be ready for emergencies.
Lea showed off one of the things that would make any woman jump with glee: a formal dress that included pockets!
The actress showed off practical couture as she stepped on the red carpet of ABC’s Upfronts in New York.

Lea shows off her beautiful embroidered dress from J. Mendel.

Lea wore a gorgeous strapless J. Mendel couture dress that hugged her body perfectly. This dress seems to be one of those beautifully fitted creations that justifies the pricing of couture.
The fabric of the dress was heavily embroidered with gold and silver leaf silhouettes.
Lea finished her look with fine jewelry from Jennifer Meyer and a pair of velvet sandals from Loriblu.

Due to the fitted construction of the dress, we imagine that Lea can fit only a few things in the pockets. But, hey, a small compact and a lipstick can go a long, long way.
Lea couldn’t help but fangirl as she saw Kerry Washington at the event. The actress took a picture with the London native and uploaded it on her Instagram.
Lea also posed with her castmates from her latest comedy project, ABC’s “The Mayor.”
