We’re used to seeing child stars growing up before our very eyes – but some of them seem to age virtually overnight.

Joined by her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi, Millie Bobby Brown looked older than her 18 years when she stepped out in a Louis Vuitton dress for the season 4 premiere of Netflix’s Stranger Things. The first part debuts on May 27 on Netflix.
“The main part, and the slogan of this storyline, is it’s the beginning of the end,” Millie told Jimmy Fallon about the new season.
“We really have to dig deep into [Eleven’s] beginning and how she became who she is with the people around her, and how to gain that autonomy and become this woman on her own. So this storyline this season really digs into that.”

It was a drastic new look for the actress who has swapped her signature brunette locks for a pop star-worthy blonde look. The long bangs may have been what took the look too far.

Perhaps what aged Millie most was the makeup, focusing on heavy contour and dark eye makeup. It looked closer to what we’d expect Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn or Heidi Klum to wear.
As a new ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Millie wore a white dress with a high-slit and a black chiffon asymmetrical one-shoulder silhouette.
Her choice of open-toed stiletto heels made the outfit look like a blast from the ‘2000s with its oversized statement belt.

With Stranger Things coming to an end, it seems Millie used this red-carpet appearance to start the next chapter of her fashion journey. Do you think this outfit was a ‘coming of age’ look or did Millie take it too far?
Millie Bobby Brown, who turned 18 this year on February 19, opened up about becoming an adult during an appearance on The Guilty Feminist podcast in April.
“I deal with the same things any 18-year-old is dealing with: navigating being an adult and having relationships and friendships, and it’s all of those things,” she told podcast hosts Deborah Frances-White and Susan Wokoma.

“Being liked and trying to fit in, it’s all a lot, and you’re trying to find yourself while doing that. The only difference is that obviously, I’m doing that in the public eye.”
“I have definitely been dealing with that, more within the last two weeks of turning 18. Definitely seeing a difference between the way people act and the way the press and social media have reacted to me coming of age.”
“But it’s gross, and it’s true,” she added about turning 18, “I think it’s just a very good representation of what’s going on in the world and how young girls are sexualized. And so I have been dealing with that, but also have been dealing with that for forever.”

In October 2017, Millie Bobby Brown was barely recognizable in a leather Calvin Klein dress at the season two premiere of ‘Stranger Things’ at the Regency Bruin Theatre in Westwood, California.

She was joined by her young co-stars, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Sadie Sink.

The then-13-year-old Emmy-nominated actress donned a minimalist Calvin Klein leather shirt dress that she paired with white patent leather kitten heels from the same label.

Millie looked quite grown up with shoulder-length straight hair parted down the middle.

“I didn’t have much more vocabulary but the things I did have to say were really fun,” she told Entertainment Weekly of Eleven. “There’s one curse word this season which was really different and funny.”

Earlier the same month, the young star promoted her popular television series in a stretch-crepe ‘Harlin’ dress from Roksanda Ilinčić. Which of the two looks do you prefer?

“I can’t walk down a street or outside this hotel without somebody asking for a picture,” she told InStyle about realizing she’s become quite famous. “But there’s also the fact that I kind of asked for it, you know? I can’t blame it on my fans.”

“I will never say no unless I’m in an airport and need to catch a flight or I’m at dinner with my family, because that’s just quality time. But other than that, no, I’m fine with the fame. I accept it. All I want to do is model, act, and sing, so if fame comes with that, then so be it,” she added about being grateful for her fans.
