Natalie Portman had a perfect response when she was asked a question about director Woody Allen, who she worked with on the 1996 musical comedy film ‘Everyone Says I Love You’.

The 36-year-old ‘Annihilation’ actress was asked by a BuzzFeed reporter if she felt “time may be up for Woody Allen”. Natalie redirected the question for her answer.

“I don’t think that’s what the conversation should be about. I think it should be about: Why didn’t Elaine May make a movie every year? Why didn’t Nora Ephron make a movie every year? Where’s the female version of Bill Cosby? Why don’t we see any Asian women in films?” the actress said.

“There’s so much art that’s being lost by not giving opportunities to women and people of color. Let’s not talk about what man’s career is over. Let’s talk about the vast art trove we’ve lost by not giving women, people of color, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ+ community opportunities — let’s talk about that loss for all of us in art,” Natalie continued. “Let’s talk about that huge hole in our culture. I don’t want talk about ‘Isn’t it sad that this person who’s made 500 movies can’t make movies anymore?’ That’s not for me to decide. And it’s also not what I’m upset about.”

The Israeli-American actress, film director and film producer also said she regrets signing a petition in support of director Roman Polanski back in 2009.

For her appearance earlier this month on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, Natalie donned Attico’s ‘Elena’ peacock-embroidered satin mini dress that you can purchase at Matches Fashion. It’s crafted from satin and shaped to an Eastern-influenced silhouette with a Mandarin collar and long fluted sleeves, and embroidered with a black, silver, and white bead and sequin-embellished peacock at the front. She talked about how she thought her water broke, only to realize it was her son’s bookbag full of water.
