Nicole Scherzinger might be in the running for breaking the record of “number of trends worn at once.”
The 37-year-old singer took some major inspiration from the ’90s for her outfit at London’s “The X Factor” auditions Sunday. She rocked shimmery eyeshadow, rum raisin lipstick, dark lipliner and thin eyebrows. In case you don’t remember, these were all huge trends during the boy band decade. Nicole’s two-tone top bun was a throwback to the Spice Girls’ bantu knots. Her body chain, although made of hard metal rings, looked remarkably similar to the stretchy plastic tattoo choker that was everywhere in the ’90s.
Nicole wore all these retro trends with a more modern “Utopian” jumpsuit from Australian label Ellery. The two-piece silk creation was cut in a trendy longline length and paired with in-vogue wide-leg trousers. It also featured grommeted lace-up side slits that gave it an avant garde edge.

And, how else do you finish a ’90s-themed look but with appropriate shoes? Nicole chose some chunky-heeled platform sandals to complete her ensemble.

The suede-covered platforms and leather-covered heels clued us in to the make of these shoes. Nicole’s sand-colored suede Aquazzura “Kaya Plateau” platform sandals are available at both Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. If this shade isn’t your jam, you can pick up a pair in navy at Barneys.
