Currently busy promoting her memoir Open Book (available at Amazon), in which she writes about alcohol dependency and her relationships with Nick Lachey and John Mayer, Jessica Simpson filmed her appearance at The View on Wednesday last week in New York City.

The 39-year-old singer rocked a snake-print chenille turtleneck midi dress from Alexander Wang ($397.50 at Net-A-Porter) with a Balenciaga biker jacket, snake-embossed cowhide boots ($275 at Shopbop), and red Gucci sunglasses.

Later the same day, she attended her “Open Book” memoir celebration held at Stella 34 Trattoria, an authentic Italian restaurant located in Macy’s Herald Square.

Toting a striped Valentino Garavani “My Rockstud” satchel bag, Jessica looked fabulous in an Azalea red sculptured sleeve V-neck top from Safiyaa ($1,981 at Farfetch) paired with matching Halluana stretch-crepe flared pants ($315 at Net-A-Porter) from the same London-based fashion label founded in 2011 by Daniela Karnuts and named after her daughter.

While unfortunately not visible due to the length of her red stretch-crepe pants, she also wore metallic Alesta knotted platform sandals from her own fashion label (available at DSW, Nordstrom, and Macy’s).

During her appearance on the Dr. Oz Show, Jessica admitted that she and her ex Nick Lachey didn’t sign a prenup, but she wishes she had.

“That’s the funny thing: Nick wanted me to sign a prenup and I was so offended,” she shared. “I’m like, ’But we’re going to be together for the rest of our lives. We’re saying our vows to God and in front of all of our family and friends. This is never gonna end.′ And we didn’t sign a prenup.”
