Rebel Wilson looked radiant in a hot pink dress while making the rounds on the media circuit to promote her memoir, Rebel Rising, which you can buy on Amazon.

The controversial book saw Wilson embroiled in a dispute with Sacha Baron Cohen after she accused him of sexual harassment while filming the 2016 spy action-comedy movie The Brothers Grimsby.

Barbiecore, the fashion trend that turned the world pink in 2023, isn’t dead; many are still on board with it today.

Wilson, for instance, showed her take on the trend on Friday as she walked out of 30 Rockefeller Plaza after her appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She was wearing a striking pink dress that instantly caught my attention. Although the dress was simple, the stunning hue made it impossible for me to miss her.

The 44-year-old actress, who recently revealed gaining 30 lbs. after weight loss due to her busy schedule, embraced her voluptuous figure in the striking pink knee-length dress that hugged every inch of her curves.

I find the dress too girly for Wilson, but I like how it complements her flawless, fair complexion. Its rib-knit construction gives it a form-fitting silhouette, while its V-neckline, tonal pink front buttons, and long sleeves complete the bodice’s cardigan-style design.

Meanwhile, the lower part of the dress features a waistband that flows into a knee-length skirt. Wilson completed her springtime look with white leather pumps, a classic pointed-toe style with a moderate heel height.

I admire Rebel’s confidence, but I wish she had worn some jewelry, say a dainty necklace at least, to lend some elegance to her otherwise simple outfit. She had on a delicate bracelet, but it was hardly visible from her long-sleeved frock.

Rebel Wilson, whose estimated net worth is $22M, wore her blonde hair down, cascading around her shoulders in gorgeous waves. She opted for a soft makeup palette with glittering eyeshadow, fluttery eyelashes, pink blush, and lip gloss.

Rebel Wilson Accuses Sacha Baron Cohen of Sexual Harassment in Memoir, Rebel Rising

In her newly released memoir, titled Rebel Rising, Rebel Wilson shared her harrowing experience portraying the girlfriend of Baron Cohen’s character in the 2016 comedy The Brothers Grimsby.

In an excerpt, the Australian actress accused Baron Cohen of sexually harassing her and demanding that she insert her finger up his a** for a scene.

“It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene. I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha,’” Wilson writes in the book, according to People.

She recalls, “SBC summons me via a production assistant saying that I’m needed to film an additional scene. ‘Okay, well, we’re gonna film this extra scene,’ SBC says. Then he pulls his pants down … SBC says very matter-of-factly: ‘Okay, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass.’ And I’m like, ‘What?? … No!!’ …”

“I was now scared. I wanted to get out of there, so I finally compromised: I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.”

Wilson also says she discussed the incident with her agent and lawyer, who advised her to “be professional and finish the film.” “After that, my way of dealing with it at that point was to try to laugh it off.”

“I filmed the scene after demanding rewrites. But I still had to stimulate having sex with this guy. I still had to kiss him repeatedly.”

“It really sank in that all this wasn’t something that could be laughed off. I relayed to the producers that I would not be doing any promotion for the film.”

Sacha Baron Cohen Denies Rebel Wilson’s Claims

Sacha Baron Cohen responded to Rebel’s claims, denying the accusations through his reps. “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”

Representatives for Baron presented anonymous statements from nine people involved in the film. Five of them disagree with Wilson’s story.

“As per the script, which Rebel had read and approved in advance, her character was attempting to put a finger in Sacha’s character’s butt. At no point did Sacha actually ask her to put a finger in his butt,” said a producer. “Throughout this entire period, she was treated with the utmost respect and empowerment and was welcomed as a collaborator in all creative areas.”

Behind-the-scene Footage Shows Wilson’s Cooperation

Daily Mail released behind-the-scenes footage of Wilson and Baron Cohen filming the scene in question.

Wilson claims that Baron Cohen demanded her to stick her finger up in his butt, but the video appears to contradict the allegation as the scene seemed part of the script.

They were seen blocking a scene, with Wilson telling Cohen, “I’ll do a slap [of your butt], and I’ll do a – going down the crack.”

“It’s almost as if you’re going to ram your fingers inside,” Baron Cohen replied. “Yeah,” Wilson answered.

Rebel Wilson Accuses Baron Cohen of Bullying and Gaslighting

Wilson addressed the behind-the-scenes footage published by DailyMail, saying, “It’s an a**hole move to release footage of one part of that disgusting episode while leaving out everything that preceded it, including my horrified refusal to stick my finger up SBC’s butt.”

“This could not have possibly been for the film as the director Louis Leterrier was not even present. What this edited video shows is what I had to do in order to get out of the room, as written in Rebel Rising. Releasing unauthorised and misleading behind the scenes video without my approval is SBC’s latest way of bullying and gaslighting me.”

Sacha Baron Cohen Allegedly Preventing Wilson from Publishing Her Memoir

This whole drama began in March when Wilson named Sacha Baron Cohen as the “asshole” “trying to threaten” her.

“Thanks so much to everyone who has sent gorgeous messages of support in the last few days and to those who shared with me their stories of this asshole!” she shared on her Instagram Story.

“Don’t worry, I won’t be bullied or threatened by this guy! And am working behind the scenes to make sure my book comes out!”

She added: “He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. … But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.”
