The highly anticipated Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets might be a science fiction film. Still, some stars strayed far from their dictated costumes when it came time to stroll the red carpet for the movie’s premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater.
While Cara Delevingne did emulate her lead character in a braless futuristic ensemble, two other cast members strayed far, far from the futuristic route by showing up in similar fluffy pink dresses.
Rihanna’s Regal Red Carpet Moment in Giambattista Valli Couture

Rihanna, who plays a shape-shifting singer in the movie, went all out in a princess-inspired tulle couture gown from Giambattista Valli.
With its off-the-shoulder design, the frilly dress showed off Riri’s sexy shoulders. It also boasted a high-low hemline and a long and fluffy train.

She completed her off-the-shoulder gown with sparkling Chopard jewelry, a coordinating Judith Leiber clutch, and knee-high lace-up sandals by Manolo Blahnik. You might remember that Rihanna wore a similar pair to the Costume Institute Gala Benefit, styled by Mel Ottenberg.

At the Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets premiere in Paris, Rihanna stunned in a pink, feathered Prada ensemble paired with Charlotte Olympia’s feather-trimmed ‘Salsa’ sandals. She accessorized with Chopard earrings and Cutler and Gross sunglasses. Cara Delevingne complemented her look in a sparkling, futuristic silver Iris van Herpen dress with matching metallic heels.
Skai Jackson’s Playful Take on Pink in Marchesa Notte
We’re unsure if it was intentional, but Skai Jackson also donned a pale pink dress similar to Rihanna’s couture gown. The then-15-year-old actress donned a Marchesa Notte pink dress with an off-the-shoulder cut and a short frilly skirt.

Although Skai’s dress lacked a train and billowing sleeves, it shared similar features with Rihanna’s gown, including length, a cinched waist, and a soft pink color.
Skai likely didn’t intend to mimic Rihanna’s style, but we have to admit—their matching outfits are quite adorable.

Stuart Weitzman’s “Nudist” sandals are popular due to their sleek, minimalist design, featuring a barely-there silhouette that enhances any outfit.
The simplicity of the style makes these heels versatile and elegant, complementing everything from red carpet gowns to cocktail dresses. Their timeless appeal has made them a staple for celebrities who want an understated yet glamorous look.
