Diaper jokes aside, Rita Ora and Ryan Seacrest clearly had a blast hosting this year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square.
With the program running for nearly eight hours, the longest in the show’s history, the internet couldn’t stop buzzing about reports of some attendees wearing adult diapers just to make it through the night.
Amid all the chatter about comfort, Rita’s style stood out to me. Even during rehearsals and extended hours in the cold, she transitioned effortlessly from one look to the next, proving she can balance practicality and polish.

A Prada Shearling Coat That Balances Warmth and Structure
Ahead of New Year’s Eve, Rita Ora was seen rehearsing with Ryan Seacrest at One Times Square, staying warm in a camel-brown shearling coat from Prada’s Fall 2025 collection. It was an easy winter outfit that looked practical for the cold yet remained very fashion-forward.
The $22,500 Prada coat mixed soft, romantic details with a vintage feel, balanced by a hint of modern edge. It was made from shearling bonded to a transparent synthetic fabric, giving the coat depth and a subtle sheen. That glossy finish made the brown tone pop and kept the outerwear from looking too heavy.
Aside from the unexpected mix of materials, the design and silhouette were also interesting. It featured wide welt pockets, a covered button closure down the front, and fur-trimmed cuffs that added warmth and texture. The wide fur collar stood out to me, finished with a bow that brought a feminine touch to the structured silhouette.

It was slightly oversized, but I liked that it didn’t completely swamp Ora’s figure. The A-line silhouette softly flared, reaching just below the knees, while the wide raglan sleeves added a laid-back vibe. It struck a balance that felt strong yet feminine!
Under the coat, Ora kept things simple with a dark brown high-neck piece that looked like a knitted sweater dress. It was a practical choice for staying warm while still maintaining attention to the coat. She stayed within the same earthy color palette, which pulled the whole look together and made it chic and cohesive.
Polished Details That Keep the Look Grounded
Rita kept her accessories understated—a rare choice for a typically maximalist dresser—opting for delicate rings on her manicured hands. She shielded her eyes with the $518 Miu Miu MU A06S sunglasses, featuring a black acetate frame with a gold-tone logo at the temples and gray lenses. These sleek sunnies added an edge that balanced the shearling’s softness.
Ora chose a neutral, warm makeup look, featuring dark brown lipstick, a touch of rosy blush, and a bronzed finish that gave her skin a radiant, earthy glow.
She then styled her blonde hair in a retro high bun with a side part, adding a touch of elegance to the overall look.

Before getting to the shoes, it’s worth noting that she wore skin-tone tights, which I thought was a practical choice that kept her legs warm while maintaining the look’s clean lines.
Prada’s Antiqued Pumps Anchor the Look
I have to say, Rita Ora is one of those celebrities whose shoe closet I genuinely admire. She always seems to have the most amazing shoes! And even during rehearsals, she didn’t disappoint. She finished her winter outfit with the Prada “Antiqued” pumps that instantly caught my eye.
Made from black-and-tan antiqued calfskin leather, the pumps featured intentionally raw-cut edges for a worn-in, distressed effect. Leather ruffles at the pointed toes and heels added texture and character, while the screen-printed Prada logo brought in a touch of luxe branding.
They weren’t traditionally polished—and that’s precisely why they worked. The pumps looked bold, a little imperfect, yet full of character. Set on tapered heels, they transformed a classic silhouette into something much more interesting!
You can get these pumps for $1,450 at Farfetch.
