May 1 was a special day for laborers worldwide, and it was a special day for Salvatore Ferragamo and his footwear fans, too. The night marked the 35th anniversary of Ferragamo’s iconic shoes — the “Vara” and the “Varina.”
Of course, the designer couldn’t just throw an anniversary party in New York City and be done with it. That’s why the brand launched L’Icona that night — an online tool to customize your very own pair of “Vara” or “Varina.”
