Here’s a pair of shoes I never thought Christian Louboutin would come up with – the Super Dombasle patent leather and cork platform sandals. Seriously Mr. Louboutin, what made you decide to launch such a pair?
Super Dombasle Patent Leather and Cork Platform Sandals
Check out those platforms…W-O-W…I am simply awestruck. They look chunky to the bone.
In case you’re wondering, the platforms are 3 inches thick while the heels are about 6.25 inches high. I am sure these shoes are light and handy since the platforms are made of cork, but I’m sorry to say they look far from sexy.
They could even possibly be dangerous. Walking in a pair will require a lot of care, otherwise, you could end up twisting your ankle.
These are from Louboutin’s Spring 2011 Collection. A pair will cost you $595 at Saks. Would you buy them? Or would you rather just buy the Jessica Simpson Dany platform sandals we featured here earlier? Those definitely look sexier; not to mention, a mighty more pocket-friendly.
Jennifer Hudson wore the black version of these Christian Louboutin cork platform sandals to the David Letterman show.
