Kylie Minogue was seen dropping by her management company’s office in a very interesting pair of shoes last week. Meet the punkier sister of Jennifer Garner’s pink strappy platform shoes, Kylie Minogue’s Yves Saint Laurent ‘Palais Mohawk’ suede pumps:

I was about to say that I was getting tired of seeing basic, boring black platform pumps on celebrities. But with that goat hair fringe running down the entire length of the back of the heel, these ones on Kylie are definitely neither basic nor boring.
These YSL Fall 2010 pumps are a staggering 6 inches high with a 1″-high curved platform sole. They’re made entirely of suede with one version made out of tweed. They’re easy to dismiss as just classic black pumps with a fringe trim, but even the pumps alone already cut a striking figure. What I’m trying to say is that even without the mohawk, you could already grab attention and make heads turn with these Yves Saint Laurent ‘Palais 105’ pumps that don’t have the goat hair fringe:
Such a sexy silhouette. Classically YSL. The slightly flared heel is in better proportion with the heavy platform sole than if it was a stiletto, and everything else just works. On these already amazing pumps, the goat hair mohawk fringe is just a bonus feature.
The Yves Saint Laurent ‘Palais Mohawk’ suede pumps are $935 while the Yves Saint Laurent ‘Palais 105’ pumps are approximately $746.72. They’d be great for those I-want-to-steal-the-spotlight moments, but in the world of celebrities or in this case Kylie Minogue, they’re great errand-running shoes.
