Remember those mechanical heeled Ruthie Davis pumps we spotted on a couple of celebs a few months back?
Well, if those were a little too odd looking for your taste, then perhaps you’ll appreciate this “milder” version from their fall collection – the Microcompact. It’s a platform bootie with screw details on its heel and side. And though it may not look as machine like as its predecessor, it still holds that edgy yet understated appeal Ruthie Davis is quite known for:

Now apart from the screws and sexy stiletto, one certainly will not miss the intimidating platform – extra thick but well hidden to give the shoe a sleeker yet more powerful appearance. The heel on this boot stands at 5.75 inches – extremely high and unreal, but the 2 inch thick platforms do make it manageable. What do you think so far? Can you appreciate it? Or do you think it’s bordering on ugly?
Well, if the bootie itself does not turn you off, perhaps the price tag will. You see, grabbing a pair will cost you a heavy $1195, not exactly an amount anyone can afford. This style has now sold out online, but you can shop for other Ruthie Davis styles at Amazon.
Just as a bonus, here are some photos of the designer herself at a movie premiere earlier this year:
