The best of the best in the country music scene gathered together at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville yesterday for the 2013 CMT Music Awards.
While the winners of the night (including Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Lady Antebellum) did not surprise us, the fashion choices of some attendees were rather unexpected. Unlike last year, when many dressed in sparkly and colorful frocks and gowns, this year’s awards show attracted a lot of classic and pastel-colored outfits.
1. Nicole Kidman in Dior Fall 2013 Heels
To show support for her husband, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman was on hand at the event dressed in head-to-toe Dior. Her classic LBD looked great on her, making her one of the most elegant of the evening. She accessorized with simple but luxurious jewelry, and her heels added modern edge to the neat ensemble.
Nicole’s Dior pumps are made of white snakeskin and feature thin black asymmetrical straps and modern sculptured heels. Since they are from the brand’s fall 2013 collection, they are not yet available online.

2. AnnaSophia Robb in B Brian Atwood “Loreto” Sandals
It looked like AnnaSophia Robb was in her Carrie Bradshaw character when she stepped out to present at the CMT Awards. She kept everything cute and sexy in a shimmering mini dress from Georges Chakra spring 2012 collection. It’s in pink lace with a halter neck and an open back. The 19-year-old did a great job in pairing this dress with sparkling heels by B Brian Atwood.
The sandals were equally gorgeous in pink satin with tricolor crystal-embellished straps in a V shape. Completing the sandals are sexy t-straps, back zipper fastening, and acrylic heels that measure about 4.75 inches.

Unfortunately, these beauties are already sold out.
3. Lisa Marie Presley in Marni Sandals
Clearly, it was a “country” event and not a gothic-themed party. Although it was not mandatory to dress like a country girl, we wish Lisa Marie Presley had worn a different outfit — perhaps an LBD — and had put away that fedora.
Fortunately, her Marni sandals are interesting with a unique retro-meets-edgy design. They feature the brand’s popular black-and-white ivy pattern stitched on the vamps and wide heel straps. They also have dainty ankle straps in metallic gold, which complement their unique scalloped platforms. The heels take a scalloped silhouette as well.

We couldn’t find these heels online, but a photo of these sandals was posted on Fabulous Soles last year.
4. Lauren Alaina in B Brian Atwood “Labrea” Sandals
Lauren Alaina went for a sexy colorblock look in a skin-revealing yet relatively modest Charlotte Ronson dress in a combination of light blue, navy, and white. She paired it with sleek and sexy B Brian Atwood stilettos called “Labrea.”
We seldom see sandals like these on the red carpet these days because most celebrities prefer caged gladiator styles. The thin straps of Lauren’s shoes are in snakeskin and look like cords; the asymmetrical straps add a sexier appeal. Silver metallic insoles and 4.5 inch heels complete these striking sandals.

The Labrea sandals are now on sale at Shopbop at 50% off! Other color versions are available (and on sale, too) in case you’re not into the blue-and-pink combo.

5. Sheryl Crow in Yves Saint Laurent “Tribute” Sandals
Sheryl Crow probably wanted to channel a goddess look in her gold-and-white ensemble. However, the dress was rather unflattering on her. Moreover, she probably would have looked better if she had worn only one accessory — either the earrings or the necklace. Thankfully, her gold clutch and metallic gold “Tribute” platforms by YSL were good choices.
The sandals feature wide straps that are looped over the vamps. They have t-straps, halter overlap straps at the sides, and adjustable ankle straps. These sandals are atop 1 inch beveled platforms and 5.5 inch covered heels.

We couldn’t find the metallic version of these sandals, but a version in nude patent can be purchased at Neiman Marcus.
