Solange Knowles has been taking the fashion industry by storm. She hardly ever plays it safe when it comes to dressing up, and many, in fact, consider her a fashion icon because of her quirky and eccentric style.
While we thought that the 28-year-old singer could never go wrong with her outfit choices, though, she appeared at the opening party of The Whitney Museum in New York City looking like one of Sesame Street’s iconic characters, Big Bird. It was a star-studded event, and Beyonce’s sister made sure all eyes were on her. She covered up her slender figure in a huge yellow fur coat paired with mustard cropped satin trousers by Katie Ermilio and a bright pink clutch by Anya Hindmarch. Her dark tresses were styled in her signature voluminous center-parted curls, while her makeup was rather simple with a slick of lip gloss and flared eyelashes.

Not contented with her Big Bird–inspired outfit, Solange finished off her avian-chic look with fluffy shoes by Rochas. They feature tinsel fringes, sequins, pointed green-tipped toes, slingback straps, and Art Deco–inspired heels with crystal embellishments.

Fluffy, furry shoes have been in the spotlight over the past few months. Kim Kardashian and Rihanna were among the first ones spotted wearing furry heels.
