Trend Alert: Tapestry-Inspired Scarves and Wraps for Fall 2014 from London Fashion Week

Scarves and oversized wraps with carpet-inspired designs are set to dominate the fall season, as seen in the latest shows at London Fashion Week.

Burberry Prorsum’s collections for both men and women showcased carpet-printed throws that were either belted on the waist or worn over flowy trenches or coats.

We also found the same oversized wraps on the Issa catwalk. Their toppers were printed with much brighter hues and looked more modern than the usual tapestry.

Peter Pilotto also followed suit with his brightly printed mufflers and capes.

Another captivating show was Osman, featuring mostly plain scarves still embracing the tapestry trend with their fully fringed edges.

And not one to be missed was the Paul Smith presentation, which was very masculine-feminine, with the models showing up in trouser ensembles accessorized with printed silk scarves printed with paisley and other tapestry-inspired patterns.
