New Year’s Eve actress Lea Michele has come a long way since we first saw her as the geeky, over-achiever Rachel from Glee.
She has consistently impressed with her fashion choices at red carpet events, and the Television Academy’s 70th Anniversary Gala in June 2016 was no exception.

5 years earlier, she made her film debut as an aspiring singer in Garry Marshall’s 2011 American romantic comedy-drama film New Year’s Eve. She was 25 years old when the film was released on December 9, 2011.

Portraying the love interest of Ashton Kutcher’s character and one of Jon Bon Jovi’s backup singers in this movie, she unintentionally almost hit the American singer-songwriter with a car while she was reversing on Robertson Boulevard, a street in Los Angeles that also passes through the incorporated cities of West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Culver City.
“I was reversing on Robertson,” Lea revealed about the incident on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2010.

“I pulled into the intersection and realized I was too late to make a left turn, so I reversed. And my friend was like, ‘Yeah, you almost hit Jon Bon Jovi.’ ”
“That would have been bad,” she said about almost killing Jon Bon Jovi. “On that street, it’s hard not to hit a celebrity,” Ellen added.
In the film, Jon Bon Jovi plays musician Daniel Jensen, who is playing Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

For the Television Academy’s 70th Anniversary Gala in Los Angeles, the “Scream Queens” star donned a beige cocktail dress from August Getty Atelier.

Her dress featured a peplum pleated skirt and geometric paneling on the front.
This frock was perfect for the event — simple but also elegant.

She kept the accessories to a minimum with just rings from Ileana Makri and Randal Scott Fine Jewelry and earrings from Sylva & Cie.
Matthew Morrison’s ex-girlfriend wore her hair back in a long ponytail and kept her makeup simple.

Lea paired her gorgeous nude dress with nude, strappy sandals from Tamara Mellon that accentuated her toned, bronzed legs.

We also loved Lea’s looks at the Fox Upfront Presentation, the PaleyFest in Los Angeles, and the People’s Choice Awards 2016.

Lea’s sandals aren’t available online, but you may prefer Tamara Mellon’s most popular style instead – the “Frontline” sandals at Tamara Mellon.
