Nicky Hilton joined Jaime King and Rachel McCord at the MAGIC fashion convention to promote her Nicky Hilton x French Sole shoe line.
The capsule collection is Mrs. James Rothschild‘s first foray into the footwear business, and to be honest, we can see that it’s her first try. We find not much to be excited about in Nicky’s basic shoe designs.

Given that French Sole has perfected the ballet flat formula, we’re sure Nicky’s shoes are comfortable to walk in, mold to the feet, have extra padding, and all that.
However, the socialite-slash-businesswoman’s decision to go “classic and comfortable” with her own shoe designs do little for a brand already known for ballet flats. Probably her only design that stirs up any emotion from us is the ‘Paris’ leopard-print flat (named after leopard-print-lover sis Paris Hilton) she had on at the 2019 MAGIC Convention.

How do you find Nicky’s French Sole shoes? Do you think they are timeless or boring?
Our opinions aside, Nicky teaming up with French Sole does make a lot of sense. Nicky is a professed lover of ballet flats and, being a Hilton hotel heiress and Rothschild family member by marriage, embodies French Sole’s mega-wealthy and Royal clientele demographic.

There is one more thing interesting about Nicky’s French Sole shoes and that is they have soles and dust bags that come in a hue called Nicky-Blue.
