You all have most likely seen them: the trippy, polka dot-covered Louis Vuitton bags, wallets, scarves, and sunglasses that are the products of the label’s collaboration with polka dot-obsessed Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
Like Louis Vuitton’s first Japanese artist collaboration with Takashi Murakami, the dotty handbags have taken the fashion world by storm.
They’ve been the subject of much desire and obsession that we almost completely forgot that there are shoes in the collection too!

Now that we’ve gotten our senses back, we will take this time to show you the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama shoes. They feature Kusama’s signature polka dots in the artist’s favorite bright primary colors.
There’s a doll-like quality to these shoes, and they look as if you have to approach them with a child’s sense of wonder:

The Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama shoes stand out in stark contrast to the shoes showcased by Marc Jacobs on the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 runway just this past Wednesday.
Styled in two-tone checks and with ultra-pointy toes, the two collections could not be any more different:

Do you prefer the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama dots and rounded toes, or are the Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 checks and pointy toes calling out more to you?
Take a vote, and let’s help Louis Vuitton decide!
