Xochitl Gomez and Joshua Bassett appeared to be quite close as they danced together at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood celebration hosted at NeueHouse Los Angeles on August 10, 2023.

Known for her distinctive sense of style and eclectic fashion taste, Xochitl, pronounced as “so-chee,” showcased her take on the Canadian tuxedo trend in a monochromatic blue denim outfit designed by Dion Lee.

However, instead of a denim jacket, Xochitl wore a strapless corset-style top with detachable angled cargo flap pockets at the hem.

The pocket denim corset also featured flap pockets at the bust, boning construction, and hook-and-eye front closure.

She paired it with the $650 Denim Work Pants, crafted from structured denim with a relaxed, wide, and straight-leg fit. The pair also featured a six-pocket design with exposed metal zippers, finished with utilitarian detailing throughout.

Edgy Accessories, Silver Pumps, and Glam Beauty Finish the Look

The 17-year-old actress, known for her roles as heroine America Chavez in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness and Dawn Schafer in The Baby-Sitters Club, kept the look edgy by accessorizing with silver jewelry.

She wore a chunky chain necklace by Vitaly, a matching chain bracelet, silver hoop earrings, and a selection of rings. A pair of pointy silver pumps kept the look coordinated.

As for her hair, Gomez styled it in a half-up, half-down bun with her short fringes partially covering her forehead. She then glammed up with sultry dark brown smoky eyeshadow, mascara, a sweep of blush, and a swipe of pink lipstick.
