When we first saw this H&M x Balmain velvet blazer dress, we never thought it would have a universal appeal.
It’s technically a blazer but can be worn as a really short dress. It would take a particularly edgy individual, or perhaps someone in the fashion industry, to pull this pearl-encrusted work of art off.
This is why we were surprised to find not one, not two, but three celebrities taking on the monumental task of styling this intricate H&M x Balmain piece.
1. Kendall Jenner’s Captivating Red Carpet Look at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards

We first saw the blazer dress on none other than fashion darling Kendall Jenner. The model/reality star brought her edgy game at the BMAs in this piece with a pair of thigh-high H&M x Balmain boots.

To complete her contemporary look, the 20-year-old opted for a polished, slicked-back hairstyle that perfectly complemented her ensemble. Her hair was expertly combed back, exuding a sleek and sophisticated vibe.
Additionally, she enhanced her captivating appearance with smoky eye makeup, adding a touch of allure and intensity to her overall look.
2. Rita Ora’s Dazzling UNICEF Halloween Ball Look

The X Factor judge and singer also had the same styling ideas as Kendall. Her thigh-high boots are Stuart Weitzman’s “Alllegs” boots.

She changed it with a pair of fishnet tights, undershirt, and side braids.

3. Kat Graham’s Stunning Appearance at VH1 Big Music in 2015

You probably know her as Bonnie, a powerful, jeans-wearing witch in the hit TV show The Vampire Diaries.
But in real life, Kat rocks edgy clothes. She exposed an ample amount of cleavage in this blazer dress. She styled it with a pair of tights and a pair of shiny boots.

What do you guys think? Who looked better? We think Kendall did an excellent job with this look, most likely because she has the modelesque figure to pull it off.
Rita and Kat looked overwhelmed and dwarfed by the blazer dress’s sheer structure and broad shoulders.
The blazer dress is no longer available, but there should be plenty of Balmain dresses with the same panache that you can get on Farfetch:
