Held at the IET Building, the event showcased the Oscar winner’s ability to blend high-fashion tailoring with whimsical red-carpet storytelling—this time featuring her feline co-star, Schnitzel.

While the prequel to the A Quiet Place franchise explores the silent beginnings of an alien invasion, Nyong’o’s wardrobe spoke volumes.

Stepping out in a structured pastel ensemble, she anchored the look with footwear that remains a timeless staple of professional elegance: the pristine white pointed-toe pump.

I’m not sure whether Frodo makes it through the movie, but the feline co-star was undeniably the scene-stealer at the photocall, dressed in a charming black-and-white polka-dot scarf finished with a tiny bowtie.

Of course, pets doubling as fashionable companions is hardly a new celebrity trope. Who could forget Paris Hilton and her beloved Chihuahua, Harajuku, perched in designer bags throughout the early 2000s?

Or Reese Witherspoon’s Legally Blonde pup, Bruiser Woods, who became a pop-culture icon in his own right? Judging by recent red carpets and press tours, the pet-as-accessory moment may be quietly making a stylish comeback.

When Demi Moore was on the press tour for Feud: Capote vs. The Swans earlier that year, she frequently arrived with her miniature Chihuahua, Pilaf, in tow. Now Lupita Nyong’o appears to be continuing the trend, stepping out at the London photocall alongside her feline co-star.

Personally, I have no objection to pets joining the spotlight—so long as they’re clearly well cared for and not simply treated as props for the cameras.

It could be challenging to dress entirely in pink, but the Black Panther star did it well. I adore how the pastel pink color accentuated her radiant dark skin.

Of course, this look was made possible by her stylist, Micaela Erlanger, who selected her outfit from the luxury Swiss fashion brand Akris. It included a double-breasted jacket and wide-leg trousers.

At first, I thought it was just a basic linen co-ord suit. But upon closer inspection, I noticed it has see-through organza panels, particularly visible on the sleeves and pants, giving the classic business suit a glamorous touch.

For some coverage, the Star Wars actress layered a matching pink top underneath that showed through the notched lapel collar.

I’m not one to wear feminine pink, so I can’t say I’m a fan, but Lupita looks amazing. The only thing that bothers me is the evident creases throughout, which is expected given that the suit is made of linen.

Lupita slipped her feet into a classic pair of white pointed-toe pumps, making the monotone look easy on the eyes.

De Beers Atomique Diamonds Elevate Lupita Nyong’o’s Pink Suit

Micaela Erlanger, who works with Meryl Streep, Kelly Clarkson, Amal Clooney, Olivia Culpo, and Diane Kruger, styled Lupita’s look with diamond jewelry from the De Beers Atomique collection.

With 242 diamonds totaling 7.47 carats, Lupita dazzled with her Atomique Clip Earrings, inspired by the flawless symmetry of a diamond’s internal molecular structure. These include the central 2.03ct. and 2ct. round brilliant diamonds surrounded by a deep cushion of pavé-set diamonds totaling 3.44cts.

Her statement earrings and pear-shaped diamond ring would have been sufficient to complete the gorgeous ensemble. Still, Micaela added an expensive collar necklace and a matching bangle to Lupita’s look, which, I must say, are also nice touches.

Taking inspiration from the beauty of a natural diamond at a molecular level, the Atomique collar necklace features 1,959 white diamonds weighing 65.23 carats. It has 14ct. round brilliant diamond at the center, round brilliant diamonds in pavé-set domes, and diamond pavé-set lines echoing an atom’s latticed crystal structure.

The matching Atomique cuff has a total carat weight of 12.51, including the 2.05 ct. center round brilliant diamond.

Ditching Lupita’s signature cowrie headdress, hairstylist Vernon François parted Lupita’s short, dark, curly hair to the side.

Nick Barose, meanwhile, gave Lupita a pink sorbet glam look for the sunny day. He highlighted her features with light purple eyeshadow and pink blush, then finished the look with the Chanel Rouge Coco Flash lipstick in Freeze.
