Zoey Deutch graced the red carpet of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, channeling her inner Jean Seberg to promote her new movie, Nouvelle Vague, a French comedy-drama directed by Richard Linklater.

Nouvelle Vague, which translates to New Wave, takes us back to the making of Jean-Luc Godard’s movie Breathless, which marked the beginning of the Nouvelle Vague movement in French cinema. Zoey Deutch will portray the iconic Jean Seberg, who cemented her place in French cinematic history with her performance in Breathless.

Deutch made a statement at this year’s Cannes Film Festival by fully embracing the character she’s playing. She rocked Parisian-inspired Chanel dresses that showcased her effortless style and paid homage to the icons of the past while still being modern and fresh!

From her white camellia gown to her polka-dot dress, Zoey embodied the elegant and sophisticated style of the French New Wave era with panache.

White Camellia Gown: Zoey Deutch’s Cannes Elegance

As she walked the red carpet at the movie premiere, Zoey Deutch looked every bit the elegant leading lady in a stunning white Chanel gown that was a study in timeless elegance.

The intricately crafted gown is stunning in its simplicity. Its sheer, refined silk organza fabric exudes a sense of ease and sophistication, while its camellia motif lends the right amount of femininity. The dress is embroidered with 52,000 beads, sequins, and crystals that add depth and dimension to its look, transforming it from a simple white gown to an elegant statement piece.

The interplay of texture and sparkle creates a truly unforgettable ensemble, making this gown a standout choice for the red carpet.

The dress’s silhouette is breathtaking while adhering to the Cannes Film Festival’s ban on overly voluminous gowns. The halter neckline is trimmed with sparkling crystals and sequins, while the fitted corseted top, adorned with braided sequin trims, hugs her curves in all the right places.

It has a tiered ruffled peplum at the waist, adding a flirtatious touch to an already showstopping outfit. The airy skirt completes the look with elegance and allure.

Louboutin Love: Styling the Look With White Iriza Pumps

Zoey paired her white gown with white Christian Louboutin “Iriza” pumps. Although they weren’t entirely visible underneath her dress, they still flawlessly matched the overall aesthetic as she walked.

They’re crafted from luxurious white satin, and the pointed toes and stiletto heels are enough to boost her 5ft 3 ¼ (160.7 cm) height and sophistication.

Vintage Glamour: Tiffany Jewels & Old Hollywood Style

The dress is so stunning that it doesn’t need any more ornate jewelry. But Zoey, styled by the talented Elizabeth Stewart, took things to the next level by accessorizing with glimmering pieces from Tiffany & Co.

Her stunning 5-carat teardrop diamond earrings, 15-carat Tiffany Victoria Mixed Cluster bracelet, and 15-carat diamond ring enhanced her outfit’s glam. However, the three-layer platinum necklace with over 44 total carats seemed lost and didn’t quite tie together the overall look. It would have been better without it, as it appeared too busy, given the halter neckline.

Her vintage-inspired beauty look was the cherry on top, drawing inspiration from the iconic Old Hollywood glamour. Her 1950s pin-up hairstyle was spot on, and her classic makeup, with red lipstick, rosy cheeks, and smoky eyeshadow, completed the beautiful and timeless look.

Pin-Up Chic: Chanel Stripes & Polka Dot Bustier Dress

For the Cannes photocall of Nouvelle Vague, Zoey Deutch channeled a retro pin-up housewife look in a beautiful dress that Jean Seberg originally wore in the iconic French New Wave film Breathless.

The dress’s recreation was a work of art, capturing the essence of Gabrielle Chanel’s original design for the luxury fashion house’s Spring 1956 Haute Couture collection.

The bustier bodice is crafted from two-toned striped taffeta and is adorned with a large bow accent at the strapless neckline and waist, giving it a touch of romantic French elegance. This transitions into an A-line tea-length skirt cut from airy and lightweight beige organza with a polka-dot pattern and a striped hem, adding a hint of whimsy.

Custom Chanel Slingbacks: Elevating Every Step

I like how Zoey’s look is so coordinated and chic. Those custom-made Chanel pumps are stunning and go well with her dress!

They’re made of smooth and lustrous brown satin fabric that gives the shoes a shiny appearance. The pointed toes are a classic feature of the Chanel brand, adding a touch of sophistication to the design. They have side cutouts that give the pumps a modern edge, while the slingback straps add a fun and trendy touch. Rounding out these shoes are the high heels, elongating Zoey’s legs and making her look taller.

The fact that Chanel created a pair of shoes to match the dress for the occasion is impressive!

Shimmer & Sculpt: Zoey Deutch’s Tiffany Jewelry Highlight

Zoey accessorized with some stunning pieces from Tiffany & Co. to add a touch of glamour to her Breathless-inspired look.

The Schlumberger Bird on a Rock ring alone is a showstopper. She paired it with the $67,000 Victoria Vine Tennis bracelet with 5.46-carat round brilliant and marquise diamonds, the $28,000  Victoria Mixed Cluster Earrings with marquise and pear-shaped diamonds, and the Victoria diamond vine necklace resting on her collar, creating an elegant and expensive look.

Sticking to a classic Old Hollywood aesthetic, Zoey’s side-parted waves exuded timeless sophistication. Paired with smoky eyeliner that added a touch of mystery and allure, the glam perfectly complemented her vintage-inspired dress.
