After embracing method dressing in Brazil, Milly Alcock has shifted into a more understated style direction for the London photocall and fan event for Supergirl.

Instead of continuing with the bold Supergirl-inspired wardrobe moments, she opted for deconstructed looks that leaned into modern minimalism.

I wouldn’t say it’s disappointing, but I did expect her to go more into the Supergirl theme. Still, her recent outfits look chic and modern, showing a more relaxed approach to press dressing.

Off-Duty Cool: Milly Alcock Styles Thong Sandals With Y2K Denim and a McQueen Fringe Top

At the Supergirl photocall at Village Underground in central London, Milly Alcock showed up in a laid-back yet stylish look that mixed casual pieces with a touch of shine and texture.

She kept everything relaxed while still adding enough detail to make the outfit stand out for a press event. The House of the Dragon actress wore white Gianvito Rossi Sofia thong sandals, a minimalist style defined by rounded toes and slim thong straps. Available in a variety of colors and heel heights at Nordstrom and Farfetch, the Sofia has become one of Gianvito Rossi’s most versatile warm-weather silhouettes thanks to its clean, understated design.

Choosing flat thong sandals for a major studio photocall was an unexpected move. While many actors rely on pumps or heeled sandals for press appearances, Alcock’s minimalist footwear reinforced the relaxed, off-duty mood of her Y2K-inspired denim look.

The simple silhouette balanced the visual texture of her metallic fringe-trimmed McQueen top, allowing the outfit’s more dramatic elements to take center stage without feeling overstyled.

Alcock paired the sandals with light-wash, mid-rise straight-leg jeans that gave the outfit a clear Y2K vibe. The denim had a loose, effortless fit, and the hem slightly pooled over the sandals, which made the styling look undone and casual in a cool way.

Up top, she wore a heavily textured metallic silver tweed cropped top with a raw, slightly distressed finish. The surface had beadwork woven throughout, but the long metallic fringes hanging from the hem stole the show, adding a playful touch and a peekaboo midriff effect.

To finish the look, Alcock added clip-style earrings and a ring for a bit of shine. Oversized sunglasses with printed lenses added a strong fashion statement and gave the outfit that extra bit of star energy.

Modern Romance: Milly Alcock Elevates a Joyce Bao Dress With Jimmy Choo Love Slingbacks

At the Supergirl fan event at Cineworld Leicester Square, Milly Alcock stepped out in an ivory deconstructed dress paired with sleek black pumps, adding a subtle edge to the soft, romantic silhouette.

She chose the Jimmy Choo “Love” slingback pumps, a variation of one of the house’s most recognizable pointed-toe styles. Defined by its sharp toe, high-cut vamp, and clean lines, the Love design has become a red-carpet staple for adding polish without overwhelming an outfit. Over the years, celebrities including Laura Dern, Amanda Seyfried, and Sofia Carson have worn different versions of the silhouette, helping cement its status as one of Jimmy Choo’s enduring signature styles.

For Alcock, the slingback version felt especially appropriate. The open-back design softened the shoe’s otherwise sharp profile, while the black leather created a striking contrast against her ivory Joyce Bao dress. Set on 3.3-inch heels, the pumps added structure and height without distracting from the dress’s asymmetrical draping and deconstructed details.

You can shop the Jimmy Choo “Love” slingback pumps at Nordstrom and Farfetch. For a closer look at the style’s history, see our guide to Jimmy Choo’s most iconic shoes, which includes the Love pumps as one of the brand’s defining designs.

Milly paired her Jimmy Choos with a custom ivory silk-wool dress by Joyce Bao, designed with a soft quilted texture throughout. The bodice had a lightly puckered, seersucker-like finish that skimmed her frame. It also featured a square neckline that added structure, while cap sleeves with soft ruffle layers gave a gentle contrast to the dress’s sharper lines. Raw-edge trims ran through the design, adding a deconstructed touch that gave the dress more character.

From there, the silhouette shifted into an asymmetrical dropped waist that draped diagonally over the hips, flowing into an ankle-length column skirt. A short train added a bit of drama, while a thigh-high slit brought in a bold, modern edge.

Alcock finished her look with Cartier gold jewelry, including a bangle and ring. Her blonde hair was styled in tousled waves, paired with soft, smoky eyes and nude-pink makeup that kept everything fresh and simple.

Two Very Different Shoes, One Confident Press-Tour Approach

While the outfits couldn’t have been more different, Milly Alcock’s footwear choices revealed a consistent styling philosophy throughout the Supergirl promotional tour.

Rather than relying on obvious superhero-inspired dressing, she embraced shoes that complemented the mood of each appearance—from relaxed white thong sandals that gave the photocall an effortless, off-duty feel to classic Jimmy Choo slingbacks that brought polish and structure to the fan event.

The contrast between the two looks highlights Alcock’s willingness to let the occasion dictate the styling. Whether paired with slouchy Y2K denim or a deconstructed ivory gown, her shoes remained an essential part of the story, proving that understated choices can be just as memorable as statement heels.
