Minka Kelly’s footwear style has always moved easily between polished glamour and relaxed off-duty dressing.
She has worn everything from gold-glitter Jimmy Choo “Anouk” pumps with a Temperley London dress to Rag & Bone “Shaw” wedge mules and purple Vans sneakers with distressed jeans. Standing 5 feet 5 inches (1.65 m) tall and wearing a US size 8 shoe, she often relies on distinctive footwear to sharpen otherwise understated outfits.
That same shoe-first approach is shaping her press wardrobe for the second season of Netflix’s romantic neo-Western series Ransom Canyon.

During a Monday appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly discussed the series and her interest in designing furniture before stepping out in two polished smart-casual ensembles.
Although the outfits differed in color and proportion, she finished both with sleek black pointed-toe pumps, using the classic silhouette to bring structure and sophistication to each look.
1. Minka Kelly Sharpens Her Oxblood Et Ochs Co-Ords With Black Patent Pumps
Minka Kelly elevated her monochromatic outfit with a pair of black patent-leather pumps, giving the look a sophisticated finish. They featured pointed toes, low-cut vamps that beautifully elongated her legs, and a softly curved topline that gave the classic silhouette a more feminine touch.
Slim stiletto heels completed the design, adding height while keeping the look sleek and refined. I loved how their glossy finish gave her look just enough shine!

Kelly paired the pumps with an Et Ochs ensemble, and I loved how the oxblood shade complemented her warm complexion. It’s a color that always looks rich and elegant, and wearing it from head to toe made the outfit look even more striking.
She wore the brand’s “Monroe” sleeveless bodysuit, currently on sale for $107 (down from $268). It featured a minimalist design with a softly draped high cowl neckline and a mesh base with snap closures. Although simple, the fluid draping and deep burgundy color gave it a sophisticated edge. She teamed it with the matching “Leon” oversized pants, on sale for $139 (from $348), featuring a relaxed silhouette, front pleats, and a modern asymmetric front panel that added visual interest.
The only thing I would’ve changed is the trouser length. They pooled over the pumps a little too much, and I think a slight hem would have created a cleaner, more flattering silhouette.
Minka completed the outfit with cat-eye sunglasses, a matching burgundy dumpling bag with a drawstring top, tiny hoop earrings, and a few delicate rings that added the perfect finishing touches.

2. Minka Kelly Polishes Bermuda Shorts With Black Pumps and Christian Cowan Sparkle
Leaving the studio, Minka Kelly struck the perfect balance between polished sophistication and modern city style, and I have to admit, this was my favorite of the two looks because of its effortless day-to-night appeal.
She wore a pair of classic black pointed-toe pumps that were simpler than her earlier pair but no less elegant. They boasted a smooth leather finish, which added enough sheen to complement her outfit. Their pointed toes created a streamlined silhouette, while the slim stiletto heels added height and gave the relaxed separates a more refined finish.

Kelly paired the pumps with black high-waisted, wide-leg Bermuda shorts that fell just below her knees. I loved how they blended comfort with tailoring. They had an easy, laid-back feel, yet the structured cut made them look polished enough for a press appearance.
Styled with a shimmering silver Christian Cowan top, the shorts definitely looked more elevated. The sleeveless design featured a boat neckline and wide sleeveless cut, creating an alluring silhouette reminiscent of the dress Lupita Nyong’o wore at The Odyssey London premiere.
She completed the ensemble with cat-eye sunglasses, delicate rings, and multiple tiny hoop earrings that added just the right amount of sparkle.

Why Black Pointed-Toe Pumps Remain a Celebrity Wardrobe Essential
Across both of Minka Kelly’s Ransom Canyon press looks, the pointed-toe pump proved why it remains one of fashion’s most enduring shoe silhouettes. The sharp toe added structure to her fluid oxblood tailoring, while the slim heels gave her relaxed Bermuda shorts a more polished finish. Whether rendered in glossy patent leather or smooth black leather, the style can quietly refine an outfit without overpowering it—a formula that has worked just as effectively for other celebrity red carpet, television, and street-style moments.
