The inaugural Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” officially opened on March 3 at the Broadway Theatre and has already started charming audiences from all over the world.

The cast featured Laura Osnes as Cinderella, Santino Fontana as the Prince, Harriet Harris as the Stepmother, and Victoria Clark as the Fairy Godmother.
The beloved fairy tale’s stage version is based on the 1957 television special created by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II that starred the fantastic musical artist Julie Andrews.

Laura Osnes starred in the title role of Cinderella on Broadway from January 25, 2013, to January 26, 2014. She was then replaced by Carly Rae Jepsen.
Osnes’s performance in Cinderella was a critical and commercial success. She won a Drama Desk Award for her performance and was nominated for a Tony Award.

Of course, Cinderella isn’t Cinderella without a glass slipper, which brings us here.
While it’s totally impractical to wear actual glass slippers, let alone during a Broadway performance, the costume designers got a little creative with Laura’s footwear.

Audience members could catch a glimpse of Cinderella’s “glass” slippers, which appeared to be a delicate glitter pump with a low heel and transparent panes.

If glittery pumps instead of glass slippers are good enough for the Broadway musical cast, they’re good enough for us.
Alice + Olivia’s “Larimore” glitter pumps might be your best bet if you’re looking for a realistic glass slipper substitute.
These platform pumps are covered in silvery blue glitter and feature 5-plus-inch-tall stiletto heels.

We’ll be the first to admit that those platforms aren’t exactly conducive to dancing. For a shorter heel, Sergio Rossi’s “All Over Strass” pumps feature Swarovski crystals of different sizes covering the entire surface.

One thing’s for sure, with the price tag dangling from these beauties, you might think twice about losing these!
