The screening of the new comedy-drama “Family Weekend” was held recently in New York City, and of course, our eyes were on the shoes hitting the red carpet.
Kristin Chenoweth, Olesya Rulin, Joey King, and Ruby Modine, walked the red carpet at Chelsea Clearview Cinemas in their coolest outfits — with shoes to match, of course.
The red carpet vibe was pretty casual, given that most attendants opted to wear short dresses and pants, with equally laid-back shoe choices.

Which of these ladies do you think had the best shoes?
1. Kristin Chenoweth in Dior Caged Heels

Kristin Chenoweth looked hot in her body-hugging Torn dress, which she complemented with funky studded caged heels by Christian Dior.

She finished her ensemble with a side-swept pony and a wide smile.

2. Olesya Rulin in Classic Gold Sandals

Olesya Rulin — who you may remember as the shy pianist Kelsi Nielsen from High School Musical — opted to wear a runway look from Osman’s Spring 2013 collection.

She didn’t wear Osman’s original gold-printed blouse, but she did have a splash of gold on her feet with strappy platform sandals.

Here’s a great alternative from Charlotte Olympia that we hope you’ll like:

3. Joey King in Black Ballet Flats
Joey King kept her look young in a black-and-pink ensemble complete with tights and a hat.

No heels for this 13-year-old actress — instead, she went for a comfy pair of black flats. It’s rumored that her shoes are always either Converse or from Payless.

A number of ballet flats are available from Payless to choose from, like this pair from American Eagle:

4. Ruby Modine in Round-Toe Pumps
Ruby Modine kept it extra casual on the red carpet in capris and a printed tank top.

Luckily, her round-toe black pumps added a bit of sophistication to the overall look. It goes to show that shoes can really make a difference.
