Before Barbiecore pink and naked dresses dominated today’s red carpets, the stars of Star Trek Into Darkness were serving futuristic glam at their Los Angeles premiere on May 14, 2013.
The Dolby Theatre rolled out a chic gray carpet where Zoe Saldaña, Alice Eve, and their castmates brought bold looks—and even bolder heels.

1. Zoe Saldaña in Oscar Tiye Sandals & a Daring Rodarte Gown
Zoe Saldaña, who brought Lieutenant Nyota Uhura to life in Star Trek Into Darkness, embraced the futuristic mood of the night in a daring Rodarte Fall 2013 gown. The nude dress shimmered with golden undertones and featured Rodarte’s signature asymmetrical draping and layered, gauzy fabrics—an ethereal mix that felt both delicate and high-fashion.
At the time, sheer panels and barely-there designs were just beginning to dominate red carpets, and Zoe proved how to wear the trend without sacrificing elegance. More than a decade later, her look still feels ahead of its time, striking that perfect balance between edgy and enchanting.

Zoe kept her jewelry very simple — droplet pearl earrings and a beautiful multistrand pearl bracelet from designer Aurelie Bidermann. We are just in love with this dainty-looking cuff, and it goes perfectly with Zoe’s dress.

Her Oscar Tiye heels caught my attention due to their bright red suede insoles and straps across the toes, which also feature a metallic leather detail.

The ankle straps, featuring a buckle fastening at the front, come in tan suede, while the lining is purple, creating a chic color-blocked look.

2. Kate Beckinsale Elevates Black Tube Dress with Jimmy Choo “Myth” Sandals
‘Total Recall’ star Kate Beckinsale graced the event in a simple black tube dress, and yet she looked absolutely stunning. Thanks to her Jimmy Choo sandals, her classic-contemporary look received a hint of playfulness.

The sandals feature delicate interlaced straps in black suede with a neon yellow patent that adds a pop of color.

Additional details include back zippers, about 4 1/2-inch heels, and 1/2-inch platforms.

3. Alice Eve Stuns in Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals & Zuhair Murad Metallic Dress
Playing the role of Dr. Carol Marcus, Alice Eve attended the premiere in a metallic Zuhair Murad dress that showed off her curves.

Her Giuseppe Zanotti heels complemented her dress well, as they are made of black suede and feature a laminated metallic effect at the heel counters. These sandals tie through a ribbon around each ankle.
As you may recall, Anne Hathaway wore a customized version of these heels to the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon.

4. Catherine Bell Keeps It Chic in Lanvin White Pumps & Printed Dress
Catherine Bell looked summery chic in her printed light blue dress, which she styled with a white blazer. To finish her effortlessly chic ensemble, she wore a pair of Lanvin pumps, which Jennifer Lopez has also been spotted wearing.

The pumps feature hot white leather with dainty buckled ankle straps, which can be detached for style variation.

What I love about these pumps is the beveled silhouette of the pointy toes and platforms, as well as the mirrored high heels that measure about 5 inches. They’re classic and yet modern!

5. Serinda Swan Heats Up the Carpet in Zara Cutout Sandals
Canadian actress Serinda Swan was pretty hot in black and white.

She wore a simple, tight-fitting dress, which she paired with black suede sandals. Cutouts, peep toes, and heels approximately 4 inches in height are the prominent features of these hot heels.

6. Jessica Szohr Goes Bold in Topshop “Shackles” Orange Platforms
Jessica Szohr wore a sheer green top paired with floral pants, which are very spring-appropriate. She added a striking shade of orange by wearing Topshop platform pumps.

These platforms are very noticeable in orange suede and are extra captivating with the woven platforms and block heels in a zigzag pattern.

7. Sarah Chalke Adds Sparkle in Christian Louboutin “Love Me” Bow Pumps
‘Scrubs’ star Sarah Chalke looked pretty in a lace black dress at the premiere.
It’s the type of dress that most celebs finish with black heels. Sarah, in contrast, styled her frock with glittery purple pumps by Christian Louboutin.

These heels are from Louboutin’s Fall 2012 collection. They feature glitter fabric with a nude mesh and are further detailed with a black bow on each vamp. Do you love the purple sparkle against her black dress?

8. Lea Thompson Pretty in Pink With Asymmetrical Satin Heels
The then 51-year-old actress Lea Thompson looked pretty in pink. She showed off her legs in a mini pink dress, which she styled with a blazer.

Completing her look were asymmetrical black satin heels.
