Blame my entry today on Katy Perry. I just couldn’t get over the look she pulled early this week.
The gorgeous singer attended the premiere of her concert film, Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D, in a stunning ruby red full-skirted velvet dress that simply looked too plush and lush to ignore.

She paired the number with an equally red set of velvet pumps to add sugar to the icing. She looked like a retro 60’s screen siren out to promote her movie.

She toted a cake slice crystal minaudière by American-Hungarian fashion designer Judith Leiber and accessorized with a Tacori diamond silver cuff bracelet.

With her creamy white skin, the dress really stood out and took center stage. Hey, I even forgot about the purple hair, which, by the way, was quite pretty in waves.

Doesn’t she look exquisite here? Yes, a little on the theatrical side, but still quite beautiful. For those who don’t know yet, the velvet dress is actually from Dolce & Gabbana, and so are the shoes. I’m unsure which collection it is from, but I’m guessing it would be the Fall of 2012.
