Katharine McPhee was pretty in a laced top and a cream skirt when she hosted the “Feel the Taste” Lipton’s Summer Tastes Party held at Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club yesterday. Unfortunately, her choice of shoes was rather impractical.
The pop singer, songwriter, and actress sported a pair of heeled pumps and struggled to keep her balance as she walked on the sand, which got her heels sinking.

Poor heels, huh? We’re assuming that Katharine got the invitation beforehand and knew that she’d be going to a beach club. If that was the case, she should’ve worn flat shoes instead, right? If she really wanted to wear heels, she could have selected a pair that would’ve been easier to wear on the beach.
Her Brian Atwood pumps perfectly matched her outfit, though. The sad part is that they’re made of patent leather, so just imagine the damage the rough sand must have caused.
The shoes have a classic hue and a very feminine silhouette. They feature dainty buckled ankle straps, open toes, and heels that measure about 4.7 inches high.
This style is available in four variants at Neiman Marcus:
Brian Atwood “Evie” Pumps in Nude Patent, $725
Brian Atwood “Evie” Pumps in Black Patent/Purple Suede/White Leather, $745
Brian Atwood “Evie” Pumps in Black-and-White Dot-Print Elaphe Snake, $895
