Looking picture-perfect on the red carpet can be an accident waiting to happen. Amal Clooney seemed to realize that better than anyone else on the red carpet at France’s 69th annual Cannes Film Festival.

Amal looked gorgeous in a yellow gown with George Clooney on her arm, but no matter which seasoned designer creates your dress, you will face challenges on any red carpet.
Amal had one of those moments at the “Money Monster” premiere. Measuring 5ft 8 ½ (174 cm), she’s much taller than the average American woman. However, her husband has her beat with his height of 5ft 10 ¾ (179.7 cm). She wears a shoe size 9.5 (US).

In September 2017, George Clooney discussed his height in an interview with THR. He is taller than the average American male and almost 17 years older than his wife, Amal Clooney.
“I was sitting down at a restaurant in New York [several years ago] and he came in and we talked for a while,” he said about meeting Donald Trump in a restaurant.
“I’d had neck surgery, and he said, ‘I’ll give you the name of a doctor,’ and he wrote me a couple of times with the name. Then he went on Larry King Live and told him I was very short. I’m 5-foot-11 — I’m not the tallest actor in the world, but I’m not short. That made me laugh.”

Amal wore a golden gown by Versace, which she contrasted with a pair of red drop-down earrings by Cartier.
