Constantly confused with actress Amy Adams, Isla Fisher knows very well that they are celebrity doppelgangers and usually tries to correct people, but sometimes kindly goes along with the assumption.
While making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2017, Isla shared that even Lady Gaga couldn’t tell them apart at the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.

“I was there, all excited and dressed up at the bar and you know, schmoozing with show biz types, and the crowds parted, and there was Lady Gaga,” the Confessions of a Shopaholic star recounted.
“And she’s heading right toward me, and she says, ‘Thank you. Your performance in American Hustle, Amy, was amazing’.”
“And I’m thinking, Oh my gosh, it’s Lady Gaga. I love her so much. I don’t want to tell her the truth. So I just gracefully thanked her, bowed my head, okay?”
We hope their husbands, Darren Le Gallo and Sacha Baron Cohen, are better at telling Amy Adams and Isla Fisher apart than Lady Gaga
“And then she wants to talk about the performance, and now I’m thinking, I don’t want to be a liar,” Isla added.
“And then I look over her shoulder and there’s Amy Adams walking into the party. So I’m like, ‘There’s Isla Fisher.’ I said, ‘She’s not even nominated for anything. What’s she doing here?’”
Isla Fisher and Amy Adams co-starred in Nocturnal Animals, an American neo-noir psychological thriller film by Tom Ford that is based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright (available on Amazon).

In January 2017, Amy Adams was snubbed at the Oscars, ending her nomination streak. However, the celebrated actress was still consistent with her glamorous red carpet LBD looks.

The LBD, or “little black dress,” is a staple for women who live those throw-on-and-go lives. Considering Amy had a six-year-old continuously in tow, she was a fan of this classic dress dating back to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel and Jean Patou.
Amy looked fabulous on the red carpet of the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards wearing yet another one of her quick but classy and glamorous LBD looks.

Amy flaunted her fabulous figure in a simple dress from draping favorite Brandon Maxwell, who is known for putting his own discreet touches on classic monotone silhouettes.
The dress bore Maxwell’s signature single pleating at the bodice and opened at the back to show off Amy’s toned legs.

The “Arrival” star finished her look with some interesting crystal pieces from Cartier, a Tyler Ellis purse, and a pair of her favorite Jimmy Choo “Pearl” platform sandals.

Amy Adams cuddles up to her husband, Darren Le Gallo
We’re not sure why Amy’s shying away from light colors since we think she could pull off anything, but we have to admit — the black definitely works for the actress.
Amy cozied up to her husband, Darren Le Gallo, on the red carpet of the prestigious event. The mom-of-one was nominated for best actress for her work on “Arrival.” The award later went to Emma Stone for La La Land.
