Best known for playing Syrena, the captured mermaid and love interest of Philip in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey attended the “No.5 Culture Chanel” exhibition held at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris on May 3, 2013, in a chic and edgy black-and-white ensemble.

Since it was a Chanel event, the then-26-year-old actress/model was expected to wear something from the brand.
Indeed, standing at 5ft 7 (170.2 cm) and wearing a US shoe size 7, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey opted for a dress from Chanel’s previous collection — a modern, edgy silhouette in a dominant white shade, detailed with black sequins and trimming.
Known for her statuesque presence on the red carpet—even towering over the petite Penélope Cruz during a Cannes appearance—Astrid completed her stunning monochrome look with heels from Rupert Sanderson’s Spring 2013 collection, adding further height and elegance.

Rupert Sanderson “Zandy” Sandals: A Sculptural Statement
In my opinion, the heels perfected her look. Like Astrid’s dress, the sandals featured a dominant white patent base accented with bold black trimming.
Their eye-catching design stood out thanks to the elegant monochrome palette and the unique cage construction with overlapping curved arrow cutouts, adding a modern sculptural touch to her ensemble.
While the “Zandy” sandals were originally released in Rupert Sanderson’s Spring 2013 collection in both the black-and-white patent and a multicolored mirror patent version, they are no longer available for purchase from official retailers or major luxury platforms.
