Rumors have been flying lately that Nina Dobrev may be cozying up to ex Ian Somerhalder — who is now happily married to Nikki Reed. Luckily, we’ve got someone at the ready to shut those rumors down: Nina’s now-official boyfriend Austin Stowell.
The new couple recently gave us a very public Twitter exchange that adorably confirmed the status of their relationship.
Around the time of the rumors, Nina was having fun on the red carpet at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event in Los Angeles.

Two days later, Austin took to Twitter to give us the exchange.
“That weird moment when you realize you don’t follow your girlfriend on Twitter… #socialmediaproblems @ninadobrev,” he posted.

Nina fired back on the same platform.
“That awkward moment when u realize ur not following him either&gotta do it realfast b4 he realizes🙈😂 @austinstowell,” she replied.

For her appearance at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Nina wore a dress by Badgley Mischka, which she styled with a clutch by Bare Collection and Stuart Weitzman heels.
