We’ve rounded up our favorite dresses from the Emmys red carpet. Who was your best dressed?
1. Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavalli

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara proved that she is one of the hottest Latinas in Hollywood right now as she rocked a figure-hugging Roberto Cavalli gown that perfectly embraced her curves.

Her current beau, Joe Manganiello, couldn’t attend the event, so instead of her man candy, she accessorized the dress with diamond and emerald jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz.
“[Joe Manganiello]‘s really hot, that’s why I didn’t bring him. He’s too hot, he’s too tall, he takes up a lot of space,” Sofia told E! News on the red carpet about her boyfriend. “He’s too sexy!”
She added, “We’re having a lot of fun. He’s a really funny guy, which is something that’s really important to me, and a really nice guy.”

2. Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan

Dressed in a silk-and-organza atelier gown by Donna Karan, Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan was one of the ladies who turned heads on the red carpet.

Her gorgeous black-and-white gown, featuring a long train, was such a scene-stealer that you can’t help but look her way.

3. Taylor Schilling in Zuhair Murad
The breakout star from Netflix’s popular show Orange Is the New Black was a stunning sight in a Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 couture dress.

The floor-length frock features shimmering bead embellishments in swirling patterns. We love the sexy halter neck, which showed off Taylor’s toned arms.

Elevating her look with diamond jewelry from Forevermark and a chic white Raowulf clutch, Taylor Schilling’s red carpet ensemble exuded effortless glamour.

4. Julia Roberts in Ellie Saab
While most of the ladies wore full-length gowns, this red carpet veteran opted for a surprisingly short dress, which was a great decision because it totally showed off her flawless slim pins.

The couture peplum creation from Ellie Saab’s Fall 2014 collection has a very charming but glamorous feel. Despite the short hemline, the oversized crystal beads added great texture to the dark blue dress.

Julia Roberts finished the ensemble with Christian Louboutin’s “Vendome” pumps and Irene Neuwirth jewelry.

5. Cat Deeley in Burberry
She may not have been nominated, but host Cat Deeley looked like a big winner in her Burberry organza gown, which features a beautiful gradient antique rose color.

We absolutely love big ball gowns, and the Emmy red carpet is one of the best events for going over the top with layers and layers of volume and extravagant silhouettes.

Finished with a Jimmy Choo “Mini Charm” clutch and Bulgari jewels, this look is easily one of our favorites of the night.

6. Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli
Another big gown that stole our hearts was Allison Williams’ Giambattista Valli spring 2014 Couture dress.

While Lena Dunham was dubbed one of the “Worst Dressed” with her fluffy pink dress by the same designer, this other girls’ star looked effortlessly sophisticated and regal.
We also adore the fun details incorporated in the bodice — the quirky oversized bow and the contrasting yellow belt.

7. Hayden Panettiere in Lorena Sarbu
Expecting mom Hayden Panettiere was glowing on the red carpet, not just because of her pregnancy but also because of her sequin-embellished Lorena Sarbu Fall 2014 dress.

The shimmery dress, styled with Fred Leighton jewels, highlighted Hayden’s baby bump. That night, we also learned that the petite momma-to-be is expecting a girl.
