After serving looks at the 79th Venice Film Festival, Alessandra Ambrosio flew to New York City on Wednesday to celebrate Brazil’s bicentennial independence from Portugal atop the Empire State Building.

After more than three centuries under Portuguese rule, Brazil gained its independence in 1822. Representing her home country, the 41-year-old rich supermodel dressed in green as she lit the iconic building in green and yellow.

She was born to gas station-owning parents in the Brazilian town of Erichim, a municipality located in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, on April 11, 1981. Her parents are of Italian, Polish, and Portuguese descent.

Alessandra highlighted her statuesque frame in an acid green maxi dress from British fashion designer Alexander McQueen that features a halter neckline and ruched detailing on the bodice. We wonder why she didn’t pick a Brazilian fashion designer to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Brazil’s independence.

Hugging every inch of Ale’s toned curves, the fitted number also comes with a center thigh-high slit, allowing her to showcase her long, toned legs.

The mom-of-two kept the green theme going by accessorizing with green jewelry featuring malachite gemstones from Lebanese jewelry brand L’Atelier Nawbar.

She wore several rings, including a $1,800 gold and yellow Bombay ring, a $1,900 malachite bamboo ring, a $185 All Eyez On Me ring, and a $185 Nothing Compares 2 U ring, curated by her stylist Heather Smith.

The Casino Royale actress also styled with a gold bangle and a bracelet on each wrist and added a simple pair of stud earrings to the look.

Makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez created a naturally sexy look by applying neutral makeup on Alessandra’s face. She used Armani Beauty to highlight her features, with shimmering peachy eyeshadow, dark eyeliner and mascara, and glossy neutral lipstick.

Meanwhile, hairstylist Dominick Pucciarello simply styled Ale’s brunette tresses in loose waves, cascading down her back.

Adding extra inches to her 5’9” height, Ambrosio showed off her feet in Femme LA’s Donatella mules in lime green faux patent leather. Ciara wore them in black at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
